The Engagement Excellence Award recognises an individual, team and / or organisation who has displayed exceptional marketing and communications ingenuinty to drive adoption, uptake and engagement of SafeZone. 

Candidates should demonstrate how they have successfully encouraged and supported the use of SafeZone within their user community, ensuring continuous engagement and advocacy. Submissions should highlight strategic marketing efforts that have led to measurable increases in SafeZone adoption, user engagement and / or cross-departmental support, including at the executive level. An example of this would be the development and execution of an innovative marketing campaign to promote registration of SafeZone during a major event. 

Whether through campaigns, events or other programmes, candidates should explain how they have built excitement around SafeZone and engaged internal or external audiences to support the platform's success at their organisation. 

Submissions will be assessed on the following:

• Marketing and communication strategies that have driven SafeZone adoption and / or uptake
• Unique or innovative approaches to promoting SafeZone
• Efforts to secure organisation-wide support and buy-in of SafeZone
• Evidence of SafeZone's growing impact at your organisation
• Initiatives that ensure continued engagement and advocacy of SafeZone

The Exceptional Launch of SafeZone Award recognises an individual, team and/or organisation that has delivered an outstanding implementation and launch of SafeZone, demonstrating excellence in planning, execution, stakeholder engagement and early operational impact.

Candidates should demonstrate how their SafeZone launch was successfully delivered, resulting in outcomes such as strong user adoption, effective stakeholder engagement, seamless implementation, enhanced operational readiness and a solid foundation for long-term success. Examples may include:

• Delivering a well-planned and successfully executed SafeZone implementation
• Achieving high levels of user adoption and engagement within the initial launch period
• Demonstrating exceptional collaboration across operational, technical and stakeholder groups
• Implementing innovative approaches to training, communications or change management
• Successfully integrating SafeZone into existing operational processes or supporting technologies
• Overcoming significant implementation challenges while maintaining project quality, timelines or user confidence
• Establishing governance, support structures and operational processes that position SafeZone for sustained success

The SafeZone Collaboration Impact Award recognises an individual, team and/or organisation that has demonstrated exceptional collaboration across departments, organisations or stakeholder groups to maximise the value and impact of SafeZone.

Candidates should demonstrate how collaboration has strengthened the implementation, adoption or ongoing use of SafeZone, resulting in measurable outcomes such as improved communication, stronger partnerships, enhanced operational coordination, increased user engagement or better safety outcomes. Examples may include:

• Building strong partnerships across multiple departments or business units to support SafeZone
• Collaborating with external organisations, emergency services, neighbouring institutions or community partners through SafeZone
• Developing cross-functional governance or working groups that have improved SafeZone outcomes
• Sharing resources, expertise or best practices that have accelerated implementation or adoption
• Coordinating joint initiatives, exercises or emergency response activities using SafeZone
• Creating innovative collaborative approaches that have improved operational efficiency, resilience or user experience
• Demonstrating collaboration that has led to measurable improvements in safety, communication or emergency preparedness

Submissions will be assessed on the following:

• Demonstrated collaboration across teams, departments, organisations or stakeholder groups
• Evidence of strong partnerships that have enhanced the implementation or use of SafeZone
• Innovation in collaborative approaches to improving safety, communication or operational effectiveness
• Measurable outcomes resulting from collaborative initiatives and shared efforts
• Examples of sustained collaboration that have strengthened organisational resilience and the ongoing success of SafeZone

The Healthcare Safety Transformation Award recognises a healthcare organisation, team and/or individual that has demonstrated exceptional innovation and leadership in transforming safety, communication and operational response through the implementation and use of SafeZone.

Candidates should demonstrate how SafeZone has delivered measurable improvements across their healthcare environment, resulting in outcomes such as enhanced staff safety, faster incident response, improved communication and coordination, greater operational efficiency or strengthened emergency preparedness. Examples may include:

• Implementing SafeZone to improve the safety and wellbeing of clinical and non-clinical staff
• Transforming emergency response processes through enhanced communication, coordination or situational awareness
• Integrating SafeZone into existing healthcare workflows, security operations or clinical support services
• Improving lone worker safety, duress response or after-hours support across healthcare facilities
• Driving collaboration between security, clinical teams, facilities management and emergency response partners
• Demonstrating measurable improvements in response times, incident management or staff confidence through SafeZone
• Developing innovative use cases that have enhanced patient, visitor and staff safety across the organisation

Submissions will be assessed on the following:

• Demonstrated impact of SafeZone on healthcare safety, security and operational effectiveness
• Innovation in the implementation, integration or application of SafeZone within a healthcare environment
• Evidence of improved communication, collaboration and emergency response capabilities
• Measurable outcomes relating to staff safety, operational performance or organisational resilience
• Examples of continuous improvement and sustainable practices that have strengthened healthcare safety through SafeZone

The SafeZone Champion of the Year Award honours an individual, team or organisation that has shown extraordinary dedication to advocating for SafeZone within their organisation or user community. 

Candidates should demonstrate how they have driven adoption, facilitated education, and fostered a community of enhanced safety and wellbeing around SafeZone. This can include efforts such as engaging new SafeZone users, training staff, leading discussions, sharing best practices, influencing decision-making at the executive level, and earning external recognition through regional, national or international accolades. 

This award is about celebrating those who are passionate about SafeZone and have successfully influenced their peers and user community to recognise the value of the platform, whilst continuing to embed it across their organisation. 

Submissions will be assessed on the following:

• Initiatives to educate and / or engage users on SafeZone's capabilities
• Proven impact from their advocacy efforts in promoting adoption of SafeZone
• Leading or contributing to their user community and knowledge sharing
• Long-term engagement initiatives that drive sustained advocacy and usage of SafeZone
• Examples of how they have helped their community (e.g. end-users, leadership teams) recognise the value of SafeZone, converting them into long-term advocates too

1. Submissions should be between 500 to 2000 words maximum, excluding any supporting assets.
   
   
2. Each organisation can submit for one or multiple award categories, however we select a maximum of one winner per organisation/year.
   
   
3. All entries are based on Chatham House Rules.  
   
   
4. We may wish to use some of the content you submit as part of your nomination during the winners presentation at the SafeZone Annual Conference Awards Ceremony. If we do, we will reach out to you for approval ahead of the event. 
   
   
5. We highly encourage you to provide specific examples to support why your nomination deserves to win the award, along with quantified metrics and supporting assets to strengthen your submission.
   
   
6. Submissions will be reviewed after Friday 15th January, 2027 by a panel of randomly selected members of the CriticalArc team. A winner for each award category will be selected and announced at the SafeZone Annual Conference Awards Ceremony.
   
   
7. Award submissions are due by Friday 15th January, 2027. Any nominations made after this deadline may not be considered.
