2026 FGS Sangha Day Celebration – Offerings to the Sangha
各位護法信徒 平安吉祥 ！
佛光山寺自開山以來，由於諸位護法信徒發心護持，本寺僧眾得以安心辦道，弘法利生；護持之德，誠乃功德無量！
一年一度的僧寶節將屆，為使信眾能在此殊勝的節日，廣植福德，故發起勸募道糧，護持僧團。經云：「所謂布施者，必獲其利益」，仗此殊勝功德，上報四重恩，下濟三塗苦。佛光山開山祖師星雲大師曾經開示：
一、供僧是供養全年，不只是供養一天。 二、供僧是供養十方，不只是供養一人。
三、供僧是供養未來，不只是供養現在。 四、供僧是供養學道，不只是供養熱鬧。
大師表示，農曆七月是僧信孝親報恩的孝道月，是供僧道糧的功德月，是祈福修善的吉祥月，也是培植福慧的福田月、報恩月、僧伽月。
為感謝諸位護法道糧供僧，本寺謹定於國曆8月11日至8月22日每日早上七時到八時，早課諷誦地藏經，並於國曆 8月23日(星期日) 上午10:00至下午4:30 啟建「孝親報恩地藏法會暨供僧道糧功德總回向法會」，所有功德利益回向護法信徒，歡迎闔家來寺禮佛，同霑法益！
The annual Sangha Day is approaching. In observance of the Buddha’s teachings, Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founding master of Fo Guang Shan, designated this season as Filial Piety Month—a time to cultivate blessings and virtues through offerings to the monastic community as an expression of one's filial devotion.
Since its founding, Fo Guang Shan has nurtured and educated over 1,000 monastics through the continued support of countless benefactors. Whether teaching in temples around the world or pursuing advanced studies abroad, they carry forth the Dharma with dedication. Additionally, hundreds of monastics are currently undergoing rigorous training in the Buddhist Seminary—they are the future leaders of Buddhism, the spiritual guides and protectors of sentient beings.
Thanks to the wholehearted support from benefactors like you, the monastic community is able to practice without worry and continue spreading the Dharma for the benefit of all. Words cannot fully express our gratitude. To promote filial piety and create blessings through offerings to the Sangha, we sincerely invite you to make a donation according to your wish. Through this rare and virtuous act, may we repay the Four Debts of Gratitude and help liberate beings from the three lower realms.
As a gesture of appreciation, dedications will be made on behalf of all donors—for the longevity and well-being of one’s parents in this life, and for the rebirth of departed loved ones into the Buddha lands.
