IIMS 2027 Showcase Artist Application
We’re thrilled to announce that showcase applications are officially open for the 2027 International Indigenous Music Summit (IIMS), taking place from May 31st - June 4th, 2027 in Tkaronto, Northern Turtle Island (Canada).

We can’t wait to amplify your voices and celebrate the incredible talent within our community!

The showcases will highlight artistic excellence in the Indigenous music community. IIMS facilitates the building of meaningful, mutually beneficial bridges and partnerships between artists, professionals, and key players in both Indigenous and mainstream music industries. Together, let’s push forward toward sustainable, long-term change in the music community!

Who can apply?

Submissions are open to all Indigenous music artists across Turtle Island and around the world.

Are you, or someone you know, interested in being selected for the IIMS 2027 showcases? Please apply! We welcome submissions from any genre of music, whether contemporary or traditional.

Please note: The jury may give preference to artists who have not yet showcased at IIMS, so please consider explaining in your application how this showcase would be different (i.e., new format, new project, etc.). Our team is ready to assist with any questions regarding the showcase opportunity, submission forms, selection process, and more!

Application Fee

There is an application fee of $20 CAD to submit your application, which will contribute to showcase production costs. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We accept credit card payments.

Form Translations

This form can be viewed in English, Français, Español and Português. Simply click on the dropdown on the top right of this form (above the header image). Artists are encouraged to submit works in their mother tongue or preferred language. If you need assistance with translation, please reach out to our team.

What you'll need to submit your application
- Contact details for you, and your representative if you have one
- Your nation, territory or community
- Two Indigenous community references
- A short bio (50 words) and a long bio (500 words)
- Release history and live performance highlights
- Streaming audio link, live performance video, website and at least one social link
- Your showcase lineup, and a stage plot and tech rider if you have them
- Two hi-res artist images, one horizontal and one vertical
- A debit or credit card for the $20 CAD application fee

'Indigenous artists' include musical artists who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit / Original peoples of the land) with a shared, lived identity and experience as affirmed by their respective communities;
