Fewer people have summited Vinson Massif than Mount Everest. Not because it's the tallest mountain in the world, but because it sits deep in the heart of Antarctica's Ellsworth Mountains, accessible only for a brief window each year, in one of the most remote and unforgiving environments on the planet.
This is not a mountain you stumble into by chance. The journey alone, from the southern tip of South America to a blue-ice runway in the interior of Antarctica, to a ski plane touching down at Vinson Base Camp, is unlike anything else in mountaineering.
Our CTSS Everest Readiness Test will help you measure where you stand across the six areas that matter most: fitness and endurance, technical skills, big mountain experience, expedition mindset, gear systems, and your No Dckheads* factor.
