    Fill out the form carefully for Global Issues registration

  • Please provide contact information for coach or coaches below. All teams must have an adult coach who will be responsible for form submissions, fee payment, and ensuring that all competition rules and regulations are followed. The adult coach will also be responsible for handling all State Bowl communication and logistics, if applicable.

  • North Carolina FPS Senior Division Student Co-Coach Application

  • Student co-coaches should be in the Senior Division. Student co-coaches must have an adult co-coach who will be responsible for team/individual registration, making payments to North Carolina FPS, supervising competitive problems, and attending State Bowl.

     

    It is strongly encouraged that the student co-coach have a minimum of three years of experience participating in the FPS component they intend to coach. Additionally, new student co-coaches must attend FPS North Carolina Coach Training (either in person or virtually, if offered) or an equivalent training session approved by the FPS North Carolina Affiliate Director.

     

    Students in the Middle Division who wish to coach can gain experience as an assistant to an adult coach until they reach Senior Division.

  • A decision on each prospective student co-coach’s application shall be made by the FPS North Carolina Executive Committee. The prospective student co-coach will be notified within seven days of the applicant’s submission to the FPS North Carolina Affiliate Director. The Executive Committee decision shall be final.

  • Student Co-Coaches Who Also Participate in Global Issues

  • All Global Issues student co-coaches who are also competing in Global Issues as a member of a Team or as an Individual must have an adult co-coach (over the age of 18 and not a current FPS participant) administer competitive problems Qualifying Problem (QP) so that the content of the Global Issues Future Scene is kept secret from the student co-coach as an Individual or as part of a Team before the QP is completed.

     

    Student co-coaches must not participate in coaching their Teams/Individuals during any period of time in which the student co-coach or Teams/Individuals has completed the QP but the other has not. 

  • Team Registration for Global Issues

  • Registration includes coach and team materials for classroom use and evaluation of each registered team for Practice Problem #1, Practice Problem #2, & Qualifying Problem (QP). QP determines invitation to State Bowl*
