Fluora and IDSA NYC invite you to submit works of collectible lighting design for Pro Retro hosted at COLLECTIBLE NYC, New York's premier collectible design fair.

Selected applicants will be gifted Fluora's Monos, the advanced LED bulb, to build a bespoke lampshade around. Curated by Not For Granted Studio and produced by Shift Alt Events, the exhibition explores lighting as a vessel for memories shared across generations. The lighting of Pro Retro records distinct personal history and leaves room to incorperate future moments. Designs will utilize Monos’ animation features and your bespoke shade design to stimulate interactions that leave physical markers from each generation of owner; creating a lasting visual provenance. By weaving a rich history into these designs, they remain meaningful to us and resist obsolescence even when style changes.

Beyond Collectible, selected designs may be selected for limited edition production with Fluora.

Sales Commision Structure

IDSA members have a reduced 40% sales commision. Consider joining IDSA to save.

General Applicants have 50% standard sales commision.

Monos Features

The Monos use 256 individually controlable, animated LEDs which are controlled by the Fluora App. Monos Product Page

Monos dimmensions: 9.33"H x 2.441"W x 2.441" D

Attachment method: Each corner of the monos bulb has an indentation for the shade to twist and lock onto as seen here

Contest Acknowledgements
I understand that if I am selected as one of the finalists, I will be shipped a Monos product and will be physically making my lamp shade design, responsible for all material costs and associated labor, and responsible for packaging and shipping the lamp or dropping it off at the NYC location by October 25, 2026.
I confirm that the submitted design is my original work and that I have the right to submit it.
I agree not to reverse engineer the Monos core or develop products derived from it.
