Pre-Intermediate Course Curriculum Overview

01. Foundations Bridge (Week 1)
Quick Diagnostic & Review: A fast refresher on basic noun cases, present/past tense, and core sentence structure to make sure everyone starts on the same footing, regardless of where they learned the basics.

02. Seamless Grammar & Sentence Connections

• Mastering the noun cases: Deep dive into Direct, Genitive, Dative-Locative, Accusative, Ablative, Instrumental, and Comitative cases for complex sentences.
• Converbs & Connecting Verbs: Linking actions smoothly using suffixes like -ж/-ч, -аад/-ээд, and -хаар instead of choppy single sentences.
• Complex Verb Tenses & Modifiers: Evidential past (-жээ/-чээ vs. -сан/-сон), continuous aspects, and expressing capability or obligation (-х хэрэгтэй, -ж чадна).
• Numbers, Time & Quantity in Context: Using dates, durations, and frequency expressions fluently inside longer, natural sentences, not just as standalone drills.

03. Practical Conversation & Fluency

• Expressing Opinions & Debating: Formulate structured arguments using phrases for "In my opinion," "I agree/disagree," and "The reason is..."
• Idiomatic Expressions & Native Slang: Essential colloquialisms, spoken shortcuts, and natural transitions native speakers use daily.
• Nuanced Vocabulary Expansion: High-frequency collocations, formal vs. informal registers, and contextual word choices.

04. Mongolian Culture, Storytelling & Listening

• Storytelling & Narratives: Sharing personal experiences, past events, and future plans in a natural, flowing storytelling format.
• Listening Comprehension with Media: Practice with authentic native speech speeds, short video clips, audio tracks, and natural dialogue.
• Cultural Traditions & Etiquette: Deepen your understanding of traditional Mongolian lifestyle, nomadic customs, holidays, and social etiquette.
