RUN AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY
PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE & CONSENT
By registering for and participating in Project Chris Brown – Run Against Animal Cruelty,
I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION
I understand that my participation in the event is voluntary. I confirm that I am physically capable of participating and accept responsibility for determining whether I am fit to join the activity.
2. RISKS OF PARTICIPATION
I understand that running and participating in an outdoor event may involve risks, including but not limited to physical injury, accidents, falls, weather conditions, traffic, dehydration, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation and agree to exercise reasonable care and follow all safety instructions given by the organizers, marshals, medical personnel, and authorized event staff.
4. RELEASE OF ORGANIZERS
To the extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, event personnel, and participating organizations from claims arising from my participation in the event, except where caused by their proven negligence or willful misconduct.
5. EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE
In the event of an emergency, I authorize event personnel to provide or arrange reasonable first aid or emergency medical assistance when necessary. I understand that any medical or hospital expenses incurred are my responsibility unless otherwise expressly provided by the organizers.
6. MINORS
Participants below the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian assumes responsibility for the minor's participation and agrees to the terms of this waiver on the minor's behalf.
7. EVENT RULES
I agree to follow the event rules and instructions. The organizers reserve the right to refuse or discontinue participation of anyone whose actions may endanger themselves or others or disrupt the event.
8. PHOTO AND VIDEO CONSENT
I understand that photographs, videos, and other recordings may be taken during the event. By participating, I authorize the organizers and their partners to use my image, likeness, and event-related footage for documentation, advocacy, educational, promotional, and social media purposes, without additional compensation.
9. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
I certify that the information I provide during registration is true and accurate. I understand that providing false or misleading information may affect my participation in the event.
10. ANIMAL WELFARE ADVOCACY
I understand that Project Chris Brown is an advocacy event promoting responsible pet ownership, compassion, and the protection of animals from cruelty, abuse, neglect, and abandonment. I agree to conduct myself in a manner consistent with the purpose and values of the event.
