HOBBY HORSE RIDERS NATIONAL ONE DAY EVENT 27th SEPTEMBER 2026
This National Event will be held at the Home of Hobby Horse Riders 92 Lockes Lane, Belli Park, Queensland's Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
WHAT IS A ONE DAY EVENT?

EVENTING is an equestrian event where the same horse and rider combination compete against other competitors across the three disciplines (known as phases) of dressage, cross-country, and show jumping.

This event has its roots in a comprehensive cavalry test that required mastery of several types of riding. It is an opportunity to demonstrate and to "test" the training, strength and versitality of the horse and rider combination.

Eventing competitions may be run as a one-day event (ODE), where all three phases are completed in one day or as a three-day event (3DE), so that the phases are run over more days.

THE HOBBY HORSE NATIONAL ONE DAY EVENT is a unique event and the first Hobby Horse One Day Event to include all three phases of competion.
- Each horse and rider combination will compete Dressage, Cross Country Jumping, and Show Jumping.
- Riders must choose their riding level, which should be equivalent to their riding experience and expertise.
- Each horse and rider combination will compete as individuals, but may also nominate as part of a team. Scores from individual phases will be applied to your Team score. Refer to Entry Form Details.

There are three levels for riders to choose from.

The rider will ride the same level in each phase of the competition.

IN THE INTEREST OF FAIR PLAY, ALL COMPETITORS MUST ENTER THE LEVEL CLOSEST TO THEIR ABILIT

Level 1 (most experienced)

CALLERS FOR ALL DRESSAGE TESTS ARE PERMITTED. CALLERS WILL NEED TO BE PRACTISED TOO.
