• Tester Application: Serena Top

  • Before you apply please read below:

    • Due Date: Tuesday, September 22nd (3 Week Testing Period: September 1-22)
    • If you are chosen you will be contacted via email between August 26-28 and added to The Serena Top testing group on Instagram with full pattern, timeline, and instructions.
    • This pattern is in English and uses US terminology
    • Intermediate level
    • Final photos and feedback form to be sent on or before Wednesday, September 23rd
    • Please only apply if you think you can meet the deadline

    Materials:

    • YarnArt Flowers Unicolor (any color, for my sample I used 764) in estimated yardage needed or any other weight #1 55% Cotton/45% Acrylic blend yarn that has an un-piled, multi-strand structure giving it a light feather-light feel. Another reccomendation is Hobbi’s Friends Wheel.
    • US/D, 3mm Crochet Hook/or size to meet gauge
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Scissors
    • Wide Mouth Beads (Optional)
    • Small Piece of Cardboard
    • Stitch Markers

    Yardage:

    • Yardage estimates are based on a 25" finished length. Allow for additional yardage if you choose to make the top longer. These are estimates only and may vary depending on the yarn used, your ability to maintain gauge, and any pattern modifications. Below I noted total yardage and also number of skeins in the yarn I used: YarnArt Flowers Unicolor.
    • Sizes [# of skeins]:
      XS [5] (S[5], M[6], L[6], XL[7],) (2XL[7], 3XL[7], 4XL[8], 5XL[8])
    • Approx. Yardage:
      825 (920,1015,1110,1205) (1265, 1360, 1435, 1525)

    Sizing:

    • See the sizing chart below. All measuremnets are written in inches. Circumference at Bust measurements include 6" of positive ease, as this is designed to be a loose-fitting top. Keep the intended ease in mind when choosing your size.
      • Actual Bust Size: Your actual measured bust size. 
      • Circumference at Bust: The actual garment bust size with 6" of postive wase written in.
      • Neckline Width: Measured horizontally from the inside edge of one strap to the other. *Note: This is measured before edging is added, edging will add aproximetly ~1" depending on your tension
      • Arm Hole Opening Height: The total measured height of the opening of the armhole.

    • Pattern testing is unpaid. Upon completing all testing requirements, including feedback and photos, you will receive the finalized pattern for free.
