  • About the Program

    The Women's Leadership Program (WLP) is a dynamic, eight-month leadership and professional development initiative designed for Mongolian nationals of any gender who hold a Master's or PhD degree from Australia. Managed by the Zorig Foundation, WLP empowers participants to compete equitably in the workplace and nurtures their potential to become Mongolia’s next generation of leaders.

    Following the In-Mongolia component of the program (October 2026 – May 2027), 10 selected participants will take part in a two-week intensive leadership experience in Australia, delivered in partnership with The University of Queensland.

    Program Eligibility

    • A commitment to deepening their understanding of gender issues in Mongolia and actively supporting women’s leadership
    • Completion of a postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Australia
    • Willingness to fully engage in the 8-month program (attendance and performance monitored by Zorig Foundation)
    • Openness to participate in follow-up monitoring for at least two years after program completion
    • Interest in strengthening professional and personal ties with Australia
    • A supportive work and family environment that enables full participation

    Program Outcomes:

    Participants will:

    • Strengthen their transformational leadership practices and drive inclusive change across sectors
    • Collaborate actively with local communities to design and implement impactful solutions through a Community Development Project
    • Build and expand cross-sectoral and international networks to enhance collaboration between Mongolia and Australia
    • Deepen expertise in gender and social inclusion, with the ability to apply insights in high-level professional contexts
    • Join a vibrant, cross-generational community of WLP leaders committed to advancing inclusive development

    Application Process: 

    1. Written Application: This round is an online application form comprised of personal details and short essay questions. The deadline is Sunday, September 6th, 23:59 ULAT.
    2. Interviews: After online application screening, selected candidates will be notified over a phone call and invited for a short interview at Zorig Foundation.
    3. Final Selection: Successful candidates will be provided a conditional offer by email by September 10th. We will commence the program the following week.
