ELIGIBILITY
Individual membership is available to optometrists, optical dispensers, practice staff, locums, students, and other individuals approved by Vision Connection. The current membership application already refers to an individual membership category tailored for optometrists, dispensers, practice staff, locums, and students.
NATURE OF MEMBERSHIP
Individual membership provides access to selected Vision Connection communications, resources, events, and network opportunities as determined by Vision Connection from time to time. It does not create a store membership, buying group account, supplier trading account, credit account, or agency relationship. The attached form’s business structure and supplier-related provisions are designed for store membership, not simple individual network participation.
MEMBER INFORMATION
The applicant confirms that the information provided is accurate and current and agrees to update Vision Connection if their details materially change. This keeps the administrative purpose of the current membership process without importing store-level obligations.
PRIVACY AND DATA USE
Vision Connection may collect, store, and use personal information for membership administration, communications, event invitations, program updates, and relevant professional, employment, and ownership-related opportunities. The current terms include confidentiality and data handling concepts, but the supplier transactional data sharing clause is framed around preferred suppliers and business members, so it should not apply in the same way to individual members.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Any confidential information shared between the individual member and Vision Connection in connection with the membership will be treated as confidential and not disclosed to third parties without consent unless required by law. This aligns with clause 7 of the current terms, which already establishes confidentiality obligations.

COMMUNICATIONS CONSENT
By applying, the individual member agrees to receive membership-related
communications from Vision Connection, including updates, invitations, opportunities,
and relevant program information. This is an appropriate addition for the individual form because the existing store form is operationally focused rather than network and career focused.
VARIATION
Vision Connection may update these terms and conditions from time to time by giving at least 30 days’ prior notice. This follows the same variation approach used in the current terms.
TERMINATION
Either the individual member or Vision Connection may end the membership at any time on written notice. Any confidentiality obligations and accrued rights will continue after termination. This is a simplified adaptation of the current termination structure, which preserves confidentiality after the agreement ends.
FEES
Individual membership is free unless Vision Connection offers an optional paid service, event, or program and the member elects to participate. The current form states that membership is free while some additional services may incur fees.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By submitting this form, the applicant confirms that they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. This reflects the acknowledgment structure already used in the current membership application.
