The Bridging Course is intended to provide an accessible and structured pathway for qualified professionals seeking foundational preparation toward Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) certification. The Bridging Course has three primary aims: 1. to bridge knowledge gaps related to LSL practice, 2. to eliminate one barrier to certification (requisite degree requirement), and 3. to enhance global knowledge through peer-reviewed, culturally relevant programming.
In 2027, AG Bell will be opening up the Bridging Course to all interested providers through an online application program. This information session is intended for interested providers.
In this session, Bridging Course Pilot Program providers will extend information on what the Bridging Course is and how to get involved, as well as what to expect and prepare for the 2027 application. It will include a timeline for the 2027 Bridging Course Applications and end with a Q&A period for questions.
