NHLKIDS 2027 International Showcase Tournament

𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

Held 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟬–𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, at Cité du Sport in Terrebonne, Québec—just outside Montreal—NHLKIDS is an 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 featuring high-level AAA and AA talent from North America, Europe and beyond.

Players register individually and are evaluated for admission into a selective international draft pool.

Accepted players join one of 𝟭𝟮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. Rosters are assembled through the official NHLKIDS virtual draft, with each team assigned a General Manager and coach.

From training camp through the regular season, All-Star Game, Skills Competition, playoffs and championship, every stage reflects the structure and intensity of professional hockey. Players are outfitted in full professional-style team uniforms throughout the tournament.

Games are professionally produced, broadcast and livestreamed worldwide. Tournament media coverage also includes highlights, player interviews, recaps and original content.

NHLKIDS welcomes eligible players aged:

• 15 years old
• 14 years old
• 13 years old

The tournament follows a high-performance, 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁 that emphasizes skill, speed and competitive play while helping reduce the risk of injury throughout the nine-day event.

𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝟭𝟱-𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥-𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦

New players who are 15 must still be 15 at the time of the tournament in July.

Returning NHLKIDS players who are 15 when registering but will be 16 by the tournament may be considered for one final year of eligibility. They must register before their 16th birthday, and final-year participation remains subject to approval.

𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Players are classified by age and level to support balanced, competitive rosters:

• Senior
• Junior
• Sophomore

AHLKIDS prospects are classified as 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 within the Fresh Ice Hockey development system.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

𝗔𝗛𝗟𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟-𝗨𝗣𝗦

AHLKIDS serves as the official development and farm system for NHLKIDS. Freshman players compete in AHLKIDS while being evaluated for future advancement.

In exceptional cases, a high-level 12-year-old AHLKIDS player may be considered for an NHLKIDS call-up. AHLKIDS begins 48 hours before NHLKIDS and overlaps with it for 24 hours, allowing NHLKIDS staff, General Managers and coaches to evaluate prospects in person.

A call-up may be offered when a player demonstrates the required level and an NHLKIDS roster position becomes available. Exceptional status is not guaranteed.

𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗧 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

New players must submit at least 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀. The footage is used to determine acceptance into the NHLKIDS draft pool.

Once accepted, players are classified and ranked by the evaluation team and General Managers to support competitive, balanced rosters.

Returning players are not required to submit new footage.

𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘

Use the player’s 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 and include the player’s 𝗷𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 for identification.

Short shifts or game sequences are preferred. Full games and lengthy recordings are not required.

Footage may be submitted through:

• Email attachments, sent together or separately if the files are too large
• A Google Drive or Dropbox link with viewing permissions enabled
• A public hockey-focused Instagram account containing at least five short game clips
• A GRAET App profile containing game footage, performance information and player evaluations

Players may create a dedicated hockey Instagram account to organize their footage, but this is optional.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲-𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀, as they may expire during the evaluation period.

Our evaluation team will contact the applicant if additional footage or information is required.

𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗘𝗘: $𝟭,𝟮𝟬𝟬

A 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 $𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁 is required when the registration form is submitted. Registrations received without a deposit will not be reviewed.

The deposit does not guarantee acceptance into NHLKIDS.

• If the player is accepted into NHLKIDS, the deposit will be deducted from the final NHLKIDS invoice.

NHLKIDS is not a mandatory stay-and-play tournament. Participants may select the accommodation that best suits their needs.

Players attending training camp on July 10 are encouraged to check in on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟵 and check out on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟵.

Approximately 15 minutes from the arena.

A preferred group rate has been arranged for tournament participants. The hotel offers a hot breakfast, athlete-friendly snacks and refreshments, including Gatorade.

Group booking information will be provided by the administration team.

Participants may also compare rates through Expedia or explore nearby Airbnb accommodations. For an extended stay, an Airbnb may provide additional space, kitchen access and other convenient amenities.

This registration form must be completed and submitted by the player’s parent or legal guardian. All required information, authorizations and agreements must be provided by the responsible adult. Registrations completed solely by a minor player will not be accepted.

AHLKIDS is the affiliated development program for players who don’t meet NHLKIDS eligibility. They are still drafted, can be called up, and have their own tournament.

Fresh Ice Hockey Waiver

I, the applicant, certify the information on the on line registration form to be true and consent to the Player participating in the hockey program of Fresh Ice Hockey. I further agree to abide by and be subject to the constitution, by-laws, regulations, rules, and decisions of Fresh Ice Hockey. I am aware that copies of these rules and regulations are available from Fresh Ice Hockey upon request.

I, the applicant, understand that hockey is a vigorous and physically demanding game in which injuries may occur. I hereby apply for registration of the player in the programs of the Fresh Ice Hockey, agreeing to accept the reasonable risk inherent in the game of hockey including the risk of serious personal injury. The applicant, for himself, herself, themselves, their next of kin, executors, administrators assigns, hereby irrevocably releases Fresh Ice Hockey, its officers, directors, coaches, assistant coaches, trainers, managers, referees, officials, servants, agents, and employees from all manner of claims or causes by actions in any way related to personal injury or property damage sustained by the registered player and/or the applicant in the course of participating in, viewing, or traveling to or from any of the games or programs organized by Fresh Ice Hockey. I agree to extend this Waiver to include off-ice activities conducted by the team. These activities include use of gymnasium facilities for dry-land training activities and recreational sports such as floor hockey. Other activities may include team bonding activities and/or deck hockey.

This is a non-contact minor hockey tournament. For a clear understanding of acceptable play, please refer to the tournament policies on our website. Our priority is for players to participate safely and return home injury-free. Play safely while showcasing your speed and agility.

I, the applicant, agree to abide by the following conditions of membership as set out by Fresh Ice Hockey:

a. Fresh Ice Hockey reserves the right to refuse any person or admission into the NHLKIDS International Tournament. Further, Fresh Ice Hockey reserves the right to suspend this membership without seeking further consent.

b. The NHLKIDS adheres to the age classification system approved by Fresh Ice Hockey. The formations of the NHLKIDS teams are based on this classification together with the player selection system.

Equipment

I, the applicant, agree to abide by the following conditions of membership as set out by Fresh Ice Hockey:

a. All game jerseys and equipment issued by Fresh Ice Hockey are the property of Fresh Ice Hockey. Game jerseys must not be stored in players' bags; they should be hung on the racks in the locker rooms. All equipment and game jerseys are to be returned at the end of the tournament. Players may keep their practice jerseys, socks, and team workout sets.

b. All players in the NHLKIDS International Tournament must wear a CSA approved type helmet, which fastens under the chin, together with a CSA approved facemask. They must wear protective devices such as athletic supports with cups, shin guards, hockey gloves, neck/throat protectors, shoulder pads, elbow pads, kidney protectors, hockey pants etc. In addition, goaltenders must wear an approved type of facemask, as well as an approved head and throat protector. 

c. Players are required to wear their team gear, which includes: helmets, the appropriate jersey, socks for both home and away games, pants shell, and gloves. Players will not be permitted on the ice unless they are in complete team uniform. Additionally, players are not allowed to put any tape on their helmets, nor should they attach a "C" or "A" to their jersey. An equipment manager will handle this properly. Goalies are required to wear pad wraps and mask wraps supplied by our sponsors. These can be easily removed without any difficulty.

 

Équipement

Tout l'équipement et les maillots de jeu doivent être retournés à la fin du tournoi. Les joueurs peuvent conserver leurs maillots d'entraînement, leurs chaussettes et leurs tenues d'entraînement d'équipe.

b. Tous les joueurs du tournoi international NHLKIDS doivent porter un casque homologué CSA, qui s'attache sous le menton, ainsi qu'un masque facial homologué CSA. Ils doivent porter des dispositifs de protection tels que des supports athlétiques avec coquilles, des protège-tibias, des gants de hockey, des protège-cou/gorge, des épaulières, des coudières, des protège-reins, des culottes de hockey, etc. De plus, les gardiens de but doivent porter un masque facial homologué, ainsi qu'un protège-tête et un protège-gorge homologués.

c. Les joueurs doivent porter l'équipement de leur équipe, qui comprend : un casque, un maillot approprié, des chaussettes pour les matchs à domicile et à l'extérieur, un pantalon et des gants. Les joueurs ne seront pas autorisés sur la glace à moins qu'ils ne portent l'uniforme complet de l'équipe. De plus, les joueurs ne sont pas autorisés à mettre du ruban adhésif sur leurs casques, ni à attacher un « C » ou un « A » à leur maillot. Un responsable de l'équipement s'en chargera correctement. Les gardiens de but doivent porter des protège-jambes et des masques fournis par nos commanditaires. Ceux-ci peuvent être facilement retirés sans aucune difficulté.

Code of Conduct

I, the applicant, acknowledge that a parent or guardian of the player registered with Fresh Ice Hockey Hockey must read the code of conduct. Failure to respect the code of conduct will affect the Player's eligibility to participate in any Fresh Ice Hockey activities.

Players will, at all times, on and off the ice, conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner, according to the Fresh Ice Hockey Code of Conduct. Infractions of the rules may result in the imposition of severe penalties, including suspension from further play.

Expectations for Parents and Guardians

Disrespect or aggression will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:
Interactions with Staff: All interactions with league staff, whether in person or via email, should be conducted respectfully.

Communication Channels: Use appropriate language and tone when addressing concerns or frustrations.

Consequences

Suspensions: Players may face suspensions if their parents or guardians exhibit disrespectful behaviour towards league staff or administration.

Code of Conduct Reference

Please refer to the player and parent code of conduct outlined in the waiver for detailed guidelines on acceptable behaviour. This is applicable to all forms of communication within the league.

We urge everyone to consciously keep these standards in mind and contribute to a positive and supportive environment.

Code de conduite

Je, le demandeur, reconnais qu'un parent ou un tuteur du joueur inscrit auprès de Fresh Ice Hockey doit lire le code de conduite. Le non-respect du code de conduite affectera l'admissibilité du joueur à participer à toute activité de Fresh Ice Hockey.

Les joueurs doivent, en tout temps, sur la glace et en dehors, se comporter de manière sportive, conformément au Code de conduite de Fresh Ice Hockey. Les infractions aux règles peuvent entraîner l'imposition de sanctions sévères, y compris la suspension du jeu.

Attentes envers les parents et les tuteurs

Le manque de respect ou l'agression ne seront pas tolérés. Cela comprend, sans toutefois s'y limiter :Interactions avec le personnel : Toutes les interactions avec le personnel de la ligue, que ce soit en personne ou par courrier électronique, doivent être menées de manière respectueuse.

Canaux de communication : utilisez un langage et un ton appropriés pour exprimer vos préoccupations ou vos frustrations.

Conséquences

Suspensions : Les joueurs peuvent être suspendus si leurs parents ou tuteurs font preuve d'un comportement irrespectueux envers le personnel ou l'administration de la ligue.

Veuillez vous référer au code de conduite des joueurs et des parents décrit dans la renonciation pour obtenir des directives détaillées sur le comportement acceptable. Ceci s'applique à toutes les formes de communication au sein de la ligue.

Media Usage Consent

By signing this waiver, you grant Fresh Ice Hockey Organization the right to use videos and photos of the players on our official social media pages and website. This consent allows us to showcase players' talents and achievements to a broader audience.

Statistics Sharing

Internal Platform: We reserve the right to share player statistics on our platform to enhance player development and engagement within the community.

Partnerships: We may also share these statistics with our partners to provide additional opportunities and exposure for players.

Acknowledgment of Live Filming

Please note that players are filmed live during matches and events. By signing this waiver, you acknowledge and accept that these recordings may be used for promotional and educational purposes.

Disclaimer – Tournament Offerings

Fresh Ice Hockey tournaments, including New Hockey League for Kids (NHLKIDS) events and all other programs we organize, are community-based hockey experiences. While our events may use themes inspired by the excitement of professional hockey, we do not guarantee official NHL logos, merchandise, or trophies.

 

What we can guarantee is the representation of all teams and their colours, and the acknowledgement of your achievements. Achievements are recognized by our organization through sharing on our official social media platforms and being included in the history books of Fresh Ice Hockey.

 

Any trophies and merchandise similar to the NHL are gifts from Fresh Ice Hockey and are not included in registration fees, nor are they promised. These gifts are something we try to provide as a gesture of generosity when we are in the position to do so.

 

By signing this waiver, you acknowledge that participation in Fresh Ice Hockey programs is based on these values.

Refund & Credit Policy 

By registering for this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

•  No refunds will be issued. All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable.
• In the event of a documented medical emergency or the death of a close family member, a credit toward a future Fresh Ice Hockey event may be granted at the discretion of the organizers.
• Credits will not be provided for schedule conflicts, travel issues, change of plans, or other personal reasons.
• In the event of a Force Majeure (such as weather, pandemic, facility closure, etc.), families will receive a future event credit for the full value paid, minus any sunk costs already incurred.

 

Politique de crédits et remboursements

En vous inscrivant à cet événement, vous reconnaissez et acceptez ce qui suit :

• Aucun crédit ne sera accordé pour des conflits d’horaire, des problèmes de voyage, des changements de plan ou d’autres raisons personnelles.
• En cas de force majeure (telle qu’intempéries, pandémie, fermeture de l’installation, etc.), les familles recevront un crédit pour un futur événement correspondant au montant payé, moins les coûts déjà engagés.
