  • EVANGELISM

    • In what ways is your pastor joining the congregation in inviting, welcoming and retaining visitors?
    • In what ways is your pastor leading the church in making evangelism a core practice?
    • In what ways is the church growing in evangelism?
    • In what ways is the pastor’s preaching engaging, relevant, and inviting to those inside and outside the church?
  • DISCIPLESHIP

    • How are your pastor and church becoming equipped to be disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ?

    • Is your pastor actively discipling others (e.g., leading a small group, mentoring men/women)? Does your pastor provide opportunities for spiritual direction? If so, in what ways?

    • In the past year, how has your pastor led your congregation in increasing discipleship?

    • What fruit is evidenced by the church in increased vitality in discipleship in the past year?

    • What would increased vitality look like one year from now for your church? Why? What role does the pastor have in this effort?

    • What plans are in place for training leaders to continue the church’s ministry? What role is the pastor playing in this process?

  • ACCOUNTABILITY

    • Is your pastor participating in an accountability group? If so, what type of group?

    • How does your pastor describe their devotional and prayer life?

    • In what ways does your pastor keep the church informed about Global Methodist Church matters?

    • How does your congregation support the pastor in growing in faith, continuing training, and observing Sabbath and appropriate time off?

    • What are the ways in which the church is practicing accountability within itself? How are you “speaking the truth in love” for one another?

  • PASTORAL CARE

    • How effectively does your pastor provide pastoral care through visitation (homes, hospital, nursing facilities), and how is the pastor leading the church to share in this ministry?

    • In what ways might your pastor need additional support? Personally, professional developmental, etc.? How might the congregation provide that support?

  • AFFIRMATION, LEADERSHIP, AND VISION
