Mini dancers are, on average, 5-7 years of age.
The Mini GSP dancer should have at least one or two years of training, and be able to stay focused in a 45 minute class with other dancers.
Some of the technical moves that may be taught in the mini level:
1) Chaîné turns
2) Kicks
3) Jete`s
4) Stylized choreography that is age appropriate, simple and fun!
Junior dancers are, on average, 8- 11 years of age.
The Junior GSP dancer should have at least one or two years of training, and be able to perform the following moves fairly proficiently:
1) Single pirouette/ chaîné turns
Intermediate dancers are, on average, between 11-13 years of age.
The Intermediate GSP dancer should have at least 4 years of dance training.
The dancer should be able to perform the following moves fairly proficiently:
1) Double Turns
2) Jete`s and Russians
3) Piqué Turns
Advanced dancers are, on average, 14 years of age and up.
The Advanced GSP dancer should have at least 5-6 years of dance training.
1) Triple Turns
2) Double piqué turns
3) Switch Splits
4) Improv
