General Guidelines:
- The Title and Theme of the show is “BUY ME!”. BUY ME! is an art exhibition that is an opportunity for artists to think outside of the box and put their best work in a small package - work that seems to burst out of it's confines and take on a life of it's own. Artists are encouraged to price their work to be attractive for gift giving, that screams "BUY ME!" much like an enticing meal or beverage would shout "EAT ME!" or "DRINK ME!". Submitted works will be distributed and hung between the 2 Creative Liberties Limelight locations. Where art is hung is at the discretion of CL staff, artists may not request a location.
- Please bring a printed copy of this registration form with you when you submit your art in person.
Types of Work to be Considered:
- Artists may submit up to 5 entries. $10 per piece entry fee. Fees will be collected at drop off. You may pay by cash or check with no fee. We do accept Zelle, Venmo and Credit Cards, but fees will be applied.
- Size limit is 20"x20". All mediums are accepted.
- 3-D works will be acepted but 3-D artists must provide pedestals. We encourage 3-D artists to explore ways to hang their work on a wall.
Condition of Work Submitted:
· All works must be properly wired and ready to hang. Picture frame wire should not be above the frame. Picture frame wire is a multi-strand wire. Wire should be pulled taut. Do not use monofilament. No sawtooth hangers.
· All submitted artwork must be dry and ready to hang.
· Frames must be in good condition (no scratches, chips or loose corners).
· Works on canvas must be framed or have finished edges.
· Gallery wrapped canvas is acceptable, provided that no staples are showing and the edges are clean and free of smudges and smears that are not in keeping with the stylistic intent of the artwork.
Sales:
· All work on exhibit must be for sale. No POR (Price on Request) or NFS (Not for Sale)
· There is a 80/20 split for any work sold - 80% to artist, 20% to Creative Liberties.
· The artist is responsible for filing sales in accordance with State and Federal Tax regulations.
Statement of Responsibility:
· All entries are left at the owner’s risk. Although precautions are taken, Creative Liberties is not responsible for damage or theft. Submission of work to any exhibition constitutes agreement on the part of the artist to provisions here set forth.
