Join us for the 3rd Annual Fort Scott Fire Department 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as we come together to remember and honor the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.The Memorial Stair Climb challenges participants to climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, symbolizing the heroic journey made by firefighters and other first responders that day.

This years plans include the stairclimb, 5k run walk, newly added bike ride, with additional activities being developed such as a live music, food and beverage options, a poker tournament and and an after party at hometown pub. Additional activities will be announced as they are finalized

Proceeds from the event will support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and help Junior Fire Recruits attend fire academy. Whether you climb, run, ride, participate in the fundraiser, or simply come out to support the community, we invite you to join us as we remember, honor, and give back. Never Forget. Always Honor.
