• PMF 2026 Community and Social Cohesion Small Grant Application

  • The PMF Foundation invites you to complete the 2026 Community and Social Cohesion Small Grant Application form.

    Applications open - Wednesday 12th August 10am AEST.

    Applications close - Wednesday 9th September 10am AEST.

    This Small Grant Program is open to organisations who deliver activities in the G21 Region which includes City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliffe, Golden Plains Shire, Surf Coast Shire or Colac-Otway Shire.

    The grant program invites organisations to submit an Expression of Interest for projects and initiatives that;

    • Strengthen community connection
    • Foster inclusion
    • Improve social wellbeing

    We are seeking groups that address barriers to participation, reduce social isolation, and create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to engage meaningfully in their communities.

    Funding will be awarded to projects that demonstrate a clear community need, deliver measurable social impact, and promote long-term community resilience.

    This EOI process is designed to identify innovative, community-led initiatives that align with the grant program's objective of building more connected, inclusive, and resilient communities.

    We anticipate that this program will nurture long-term relationships, laying the foundation to continue to drive sustainable change and innovation in the community for many years to come. The 2026 Community and Social Cohesion Small Grant Program invite applicants to apply for funding up to $20,000.

    Criteria 

    Strengthen Community Connection  Bring people together, build relationships, reduce isolation and create stronger community networks.
    Foster Inclusion  Increase participation, address barriers to inclusion and create communities where people feel welcomed, valued and respected.
    Improve Social Wellbeing  Strengthen belonging, resilience, confidence, social support and people's ability to participate in community life.

  • Please note: Submission of a grant application to the 2026 Community and Social Cohesion Small Grant does not guarantee funding. This grant round follows an open and competitive process, with all eligible applications reviewed and assessed on their merit.

    Projects that demonstrate the following will be assessed favourably:

    1. A clear outline of initiatives that bring people together, build meaningful relationships and create stronger, more connected communities.
    2. A sense of belonging, connection, confidence, resilience and ability to participate positively in community life.
    3. A strong understanding to make people feel welcomed, valued, respected and able to participate fully.

    The PMF Foundation assesses grant applications using the following process:

    1. Applications are reviewed against the grant Guidelines and the Foundation’s Funding Principles & Objectives.
    2. They are then shortlisted, reviewed, and approved by the PMF Foundation Managing Director and Foundation Lead.
    3. All applicants will be notified of the outcome via email in September.
    4. We do not offer individual feedback on applications.
