TAULUA Spelling Bee Competition (Year 7–8 | Ages 11–12/13)
- Open to the first 15 students who register.
- Students must send their name and contact details to ATTA and SIAOLA.
- The competition will be pre-recorded during Tongan Language Week and released online at 6.00 pm each evening.
- Further details will be sent out to registered particpants for the competiton.
Spelling bee Category
Tongan Language Week Speech Competition (Year 9–10)
- Open to the first 15 students who register with ATTA and SIAOLA.
- Speech length: Maximum 2 minutes.
- Theme: Tongan Language Week 2026 – Why is music an important strand of Tongan culture?
- Students must submit a recorded video of their speech by Saturday 22nd August 2026.
- Videos will be shared on the SIAOLA Facebook page, and the winner will be determined by the most liked video.
- Winners will be announced on Wednesday 26th August 2026 on PMN.
Speech Competition Category
Youth Group Choir Competition
- Open to church and community youth groups.
- Each choir must have at least 15 youth members.
- Perform one Tongan church hymn/song.
- Submit your recorded performance to SIAOLA and ATTA by Saturday 22nd August 2026.
- The winning choir will be the most-liked video on the SIAOLA page.
- Winners will be announced on Wednesday 26th August 2026 on PMN.
- Videos must be recent recordings in landscape format - please submit the highest quality video possible

  If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for the participant to take part in the competition(s) selected on this registration form.
  
  Parent/guardian consent is required for individual participants under 18. For youth group/choir registrations, the choir leader will provide the names of any members under 18, and their parent/guardian will be required to complete a separate consent form.
