The Sydney Peace Prize is a prestigious global award recognising individuals and organisations whose life and work has demonstrated significant contributions to peace, justice and non-violence. The Sydney Peace Foundation welcomes nominations of high impact individuals, organisations and movements from across the world.
The recipient is selected by a jury of highly respected members who represent community, academic, corporate, and media sector interests. Since 1998, the jury has selected recipients from wide and diverse fields on the basis of three key criteria:
- The achievement of peace with justice locally, nationally or internationally
- Advocacy for human rights, social and climate justice, and equality
- The philosophy, language and practice of nonviolence
The recipient receives $50,000 to further their cause, and spends a week in Australia to promote understanding of their work by addressing the public at the Lecture and Award Ceremony, engaging with the media and policy makers, and meeting with students at Cabramatta High School’s Peace Day.
Who have you been admiring from afar? Who you want to see on the Sydney stage? Whose message needs to be heard by the Australian community, media, corporate world and politicians?
To nominate a recipient, please fill out the form below. If possible, please submit entries in English.
The deadline for submissions is 23 November 2026.
