    Vice President- Related Duties

    • Shall be elected annually.
    • Upon completion of the term of office the Vice President shall automatically succeed to the office of President-Elect, accept if filling a vacancy.
    • Perform the duties of the President-Elect in the President-Elect's temporary absence.
    • Serve as required by these bylaws and other ASsociation governing documents.
    • Serve as Chair of the Resolutions & Bylaws Committee
    • Perform other duties incident to the office of vice president as assigned by the president, the board or association governing documents.

    Secretary/Treasurer - Related Duties

    • Elected in odd number years and shall serve for two (2) years
    • Ensure the accurate recording of the minutes of the Assembly, the Board, and the Executive Committee
    • Serves as secretary to all meeting, call the roll, establish a quorum, and keep record of attendance.
    • Maintains the minutes and the records of all meetings.Sending minutes of the Board of Directors meetings to all members of the Board at least one week prior to schedule meeting.
    • Perform other duties incident to the Office of Secretary/Treasurer as assigned by the President, the Board or Association governing documents.

    District Directors - Related Duties

    • Shall be elected for a two (2) year term.
    • Serve as liaisons between chartered affiliates in their respective districts and the Board.
    • Communicate with chartered affiliate leaders on a regular basis and provide assistance as needed.
    • Represent the interests of members in their respective districts.
    • Plan and oversee a meeting of their chartered affiliates within their respective districts at least once during the terms.
    • Perform other duties incident to the Office of District Director as assigned by the President, the Board or Assocaition governing documents.
    • District Director elections shall be on the following schedule:

    ODD YEARS - Districts I, III, V, VII

    EVEN YEARS - Disstricts II, IV, VI, VIII

    Industry Representative - Related Duties

    • Shall be elected in even numbered years and shall serve for two (2) years
    • The Industry  Representative shall be elected by industry individual members and corporate member designated representatives only.
    • Serve as liaison between their respective membership section and the Board.
    • Communicate with their respective membership section on a regular basis.
    • Perform other duties incident to their office as assigned by the President, the Board or Association governing documents.

  • SCHOOL DISTRICT APPROVAL

    SNA-NC requires that you obtain the approval of your School District, Superintendent, and/or Business Manager to serve on the Board of Directors. The individual approving your candidacy acknowledges that a member of the Board of Directors has a specific time commitment that includes on-site participation in a minimum of four, one-day/overnight meetings each year, attendance at the Annual Conference for a period of at least five (5) days during the summer months, committee meetings, numerous daytime conference calls, e-mail activity, and other volunteer work during normal business hours that will generally be conducted outside the individual’s work school district.
