    Location: Somerville Art Gallery

    Artist & Community Reception: Thurs., October 1, 4:30 - 7:30 

    Member Reception & Special Event: Sat., October 17, 12 - 3 pm

    Judge:  Dr. Cathy Wilson, art eduction professor, formerly at Memphis College of Art and U of M

  • Eligibility: Current Members ONLY, 
    Artists may submit 2 pieces of any medium

    Fee: $25 for 1st piece and $15 for 2nd piece accepted; no fee for entry if not accepted

    Sales: 10% Commission on Sales
    All exhibited works must be for sale

    Awards:  Best of Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 2 Merit, 3 Honorable Mention, PLUS multiple special awards

  • Requirements: 

    Entries must comply with MGAL Exhibition Rules listed in the MGAL yearbook and website.

    • Max width size framed 34"
    • Each work must have two 3 x 5 cards, attached separately to the back with: artist's name, phone, email, title of work, size, price
      All information must match this entry form
    • No nudity in artwork
    • No work to leave before closing date
    • Frames must have wire for hanging
    • Gallery wrap canvas with finished sides is acceptable

  • If Accepted:

    Pay acceptance fee(s): online or at drop-off

    Deliver Accepted Work: two drop-off options

    Memphis Drop-Off: Thurs, Sept 24 from 9:30-10:30 at Advent Presbyterian Church, 1879 N. Germantown Parkway, Cordova

    Somerville Drop-Off: Sat, Sept 26 from 9:30-10:30 at Somerville Art Gallery, 16746 Hwy 64, right on the town square.

    Pick-up: two pick-up options 

    Somerville Pick-up: Monday, Nov 2 from 9:00 – 10:30 at Somerville Art Gallery

    Memphis Pick-up: Monday, Nov 2 from 12 – 1 at Advent Presbyterian Church, Cordova

    Note that for this show, we also need a few volunteers with large vehicles to help transport pieces dropped off in Memphis to the Somerville gallery on Thursday, 9/24 and back from Somerville to Memphis on Monday, 11/2. Please check appropriate box below and when contacted, please note if you can assist with this part of the process.
