• Equity & Belonging Youth League 2026-27 Application

  • The City of Somerville is seeking 8 youth participants who will serve on the Equity & Belonging Youth League (EB Youth League).

     

    The Equity & Belonging Youth League will work with the E&B Department to give youth a voice on the important issues throughout Somerville, with a focus on making Somerville an equitable and safe place for all. Youth League members will meet with stakeholders, receive professional development training, and learn more about current efforts to address issues happening in Somerville. At the culmination of the term, Youth League members will create a project focused on an issue important to youth in Somerville.

     

    Youth who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

    • Live or attend school in Somerville
    • Between the ages of 14 and 18. If under the age of 18, must be able to acquire guardian consent.
    • Passionate about equity and belonging 

     

    Duration: Members of the EB Youth League will convene from October/November 2026 to May 2027.

     

    Compensation: $18.85/hour
