Timeline

August 21: Contest opens
September 11: Last day to submit entries

Guidelines

Artist must be an affected individual with a neuromuscular condition.
Artist must be 6 years of age or older.
Artists may submit up to two entries, but may only win once.
Please complete a separate submission form for each entry.
Submissions from previous contests will not be accepted.
Artists are invited to submit an original creation in any medium:
- For visual or physical art, upload a high-resolution image (JPG or PNG).
- For performance art, upload a high-resolution audio or video file.
- Written pieces (ie. poems, essays, short stories) must not exceed 500 words and must be in English. Upload a PDF file.
The spirit of the contest is about sharing creativity. Poor sportsmanship, cheating, copyright violations, or submissions that do not belong to the artist will be disqualified.
Entries will be separated into two or three age categories for public voting, and may be further separated into additional format-related categories, depending on the number of entries received.

Participation Agreement

If the artist is between 6 and 17 years of age, this agreement must be acknowledged by a parent or legal guardian. Submissions by artists younger than 6 years of age will not be accepted.

By submitting an entry to Cure CMD's Creative Contest, you authorize Cure CMD to share submission image(s) on various publicly viewable forums, including but not limited to Cure CMD's website, newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Linkedln, and YouTube. Cure CMD may also use content in other mediums for the purpose of marketing or public relations. You will have the option below to opt out of publicly sharing artist name.

Artist retains full ownership rights of their submission, and may choose to enter the artwork in other contests or share at their discretion.

Participants may withdraw their submission(s) at any time by emailing outreach@curecmd.org, but understand that content already shared cannot be withdrawn, and the artist's entry will be withdrawn from the contest.
