First Aid Course Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Course Bookings
1.1. A course place is confirmed once payment has been received and/or written confirmation has been provided by Medi4Medical Ltd.
1.2. By making a booking, the individual or organisation agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1.3. Course places are subject to availability. Medi4Medical Ltd reserves the right to refuse or decline a booking where a course is fully booked or where participation requirements cannot be met.
2. Course Fees and Payment
2.1. Course fees must be paid in full by the date stated on the booking confirmation, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Medi4Medical Ltd.
2.2. Prices are as stated at the time of booking and may be subject to change for future bookings.
2.3. Any additional costs agreed in advance, including travel, venue hire or bespoke course requirements, may be charged separately.
2.4. Where payment is not received by the agreed deadline, Medi4Medical Ltd reserves the right to cancel the booking and offer the place to another participant.
3. Cancellation by the Customer
3.1. Cancellation requests should be made in writing by email.
3.2. Unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation, the following cancellation terms apply:
More than 14 days before the course: full refund or transfer to another available course date.
7–14 days before the course: 50% refund or transfer to another available course date.
Less than 7 days before the course: no refund will normally be provided, although a transfer may be offered at the discretion of Medi4Medical Ltd.
Failure to attend without prior notice: no refund or transfer will normally be provided.
3.3. Where an organisation has booked multiple participants, cancellation charges may apply to individual places that are cancelled.
4. Changing the Course Date
4.1. Requests to transfer a booking to another course date must be made as soon as possible.
4.2. Transfers are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee.
4.3. Repeated requests to transfer a booking may be treated as a cancellation and require a new booking.
5. Cancellation or Changes by Medi4Medical Ltd
5.1. Medi4Medical Ltd reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change a course where necessary, including due to insufficient bookings, trainer availability, venue issues, adverse weather, illness or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5.2. If Medi4Medical Ltd cancels a course, participants will be offered an alternative course date or a full refund of the course fee paid.
5.3. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any cancellation or significant change.
5.4. Medi4Medical Ltd will not normally be responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants, such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings, resulting from a course cancellation or change.
6. Attendance and Punctuality
6.1. Participants are expected to arrive on time and attend the entire course.
6.2. Late arrival may result in the participant being unable to complete the required training or assessment.
6.3. Where a participant is unable to complete the required course hours, Medi4Medical Ltd cannot guarantee that a certificate will be issued.
6.4. Any additional training required as a result of lateness or non-attendance may be chargeable.
7. Course Requirements and Certification
7.1. Participants must meet any prerequisites or eligibility requirements stated for the course.
7.2. Successful completion of a first aid certificate is dependent on the participant completing the required training and assessments to the standard required by the relevant awarding or certification body.
7.3. Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
7.4. Certificates will normally be issued following successful completion of the course and any required assessment or administrative checks.
8. Participant Conduct
8.1. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards trainers, staff and other participants.
8.2. Medi4Medical Ltd reserves the right to remove a participant from a course where their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.
8.3. No refund will normally be provided where a participant is removed from a course due to unacceptable behaviour.
9. Health, Safety and Practical Training
9.1. First aid courses may involve practical activities, including CPR, recovery position practice, bandaging and the use of training equipment.
9.2. Participants should inform the trainer before the course of any relevant physical limitation, injury or other circumstance that may affect their ability to participate safely in practical activities.
9.3. Participants should only undertake practical activities to the extent that they are physically able to do so safely.
9.4. Medi4Medical Ltd will take reasonable steps to ensure that training activities are conducted in a safe and appropriate manner.
10. Accessibility and Additional Requirements
10.1. Participants should notify Medi4Medical Ltd of any accessibility, learning or other reasonable requirements as early as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.
10.2. Medi4Medical Ltd will make reasonable efforts to accommodate participants' requirements where practicable.
11. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
11.1. Course materials supplied to participants are provided for their personal or organisational use in connection with the course.
11.2. Course materials must not be reproduced, distributed, sold or commercially used without prior written permission from Medi4Medical Ltd or the relevant copyright holder.
12. Personal Data
12.1. Personal information provided during the booking process will be handled in accordance with Medi4Medical Ltd's Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
12.2. Information may be used to process bookings, communicate course information, maintain training records and issue certificates where applicable.
13. Liability
13.1. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
13.2. Subject to applicable law, Medi4Medical Ltd will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a booking or attendance at a course.
13.3. Participants remain responsible for making appropriate arrangements for their own travel, accommodation and other personal expenses.
14. Force Majeure
14.1. Medi4Medical Ltd will not be liable for failure or delay in providing a course where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, industrial action, transport disruption, government restrictions or serious illness.
14.2. Where reasonably possible, Medi4Medical Ltd will offer an alternative course date or other appropriate resolution.
15. Complaints
15.1. Any concerns or complaints should be raised with Medi4Medical Ltd as soon as possible.
15.2. Medi4Medical Ltd will endeavour to investigate and resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
