Reiki Readiness Form (New Students)

This questionnaire is for students who have not been previously attuned to Reiki through the Ultimate Healer School.

We have made this questionnaire to assess readiness for the first Usui Reiki Attunement with the Ultimate Healer School. Please be sure to answer all questions honestly and be assured they will be kept confidential.

Part One: Understanding and Intentions

This part is to chat about what you understand about Reiki and your intentions for learning and practicing Reiki Energy Healing.
What draws you to learning Reiki, and what do you hope this Attunement & learning will give you?
Have you experienced other energy work, body work, or meditation practices (e.g. yoga, breathwork, sound healing)? How did your body or mind typically respond?
What do you understand about what an attunement can involve - including possible emotional release, physical reactions, or unexpected reactions?

Part Two: Expectations

This part is to chat about your expectations about your first Reiki Attunement.
What have you heard or been told about what an Attunement can feel like? How do you feel about that going in- excited, nervous, unsure, or something else?
Is there anything about receiving your first attunement that you're uncertain about or would like to ask before the Attunement?

Part Three: Current Readiness

This part is to chat about your current life situation and to discuss any concerns you may have about receiving your first Reiki Attunement.
Is there anything going on in your life right now — physically, emotionally, or medically — that might make an intense energetic or emotional experience harder to process this Attunement?
Do you have any concerns about the first Attunement?
Who do you have in your everyday life that can support you as you integrate the Attunement? (Please expect to integrate for at least 21 days afte the Attunement)

Part Four: In-the-Moment Communication

This part is to encourage in-the-moment communication if you are concerned in any way during and after the Attunement.
If something felt overwhelming or wrong during the Attunement, would you feel comfortable telling Leyla or Sarah in the moment? What would make it easier or harder for you?
During the Attunement, you can pause, ask questions, or stop at any point, no explanation needed. We will reiterate this to you before we begin the Attunement as well. Does that feel clear and okay to you?
If something felt overwhelming or wrong after the Attunement, would you feel comfortable telling Leyla or Sarah via email or in the group chat? What would make it easier or harder for you?
