As Live Oak Cottage School, we wholeheartedly affirm and embrace the following Statement of Faith, understanding that our commitment to these beliefs aligns with the core values and mission of this group.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge the Trinity as the foundation of our faith. (Luke 3:22)
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God and serve as the authoritative and infallible Word of God, revealing His truth, will, and instructions for all aspects of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in the deity ofJesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, resurrection from the dead, ascension to heaven, and His imminent return in power and glory. (1 Corinthians 15:3,4) (John 14:3)
We believe that all humanity is born in sin, separated from God, and in need of redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace and is received by faith alone, not by our own efforts or merits. (Romans 3:23)
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts us of sin, regenerates and indwells believers, and empowers them to live a godly life, enabling spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church. (John 14:26)
We affirm the importance of the Church as the body of Christ, composed of all believers, and the role of regular fellowship, worship, discipleship, and the observance of sacraments, including baptism and the Lord's Supper. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 28:18-20)
We affirm the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, recognizing that every individual is uniquely created in the image of God and deserving of dignity, love, and protection. (Psalm 139)
We affirm the biblical model of marriage as a union between one man and one woman, and we uphold the importance of the family as the fundamental building block of society. (Genesis 2:24)
We acknowledge the reality of spiritual warfare and the existence of both a literal heaven and a hell. We believe in the eternal blessedness of believers in the presence of God and the eternal separation of unbelievers from God's presence. (Matthew 25:46)
We commit to teaching and fostering an environment that upholds these beliefs, integrating them into our educational practices and interactions with students, always seeking to promote a Christ-centered worldview.
