Speed networking and guess my job

Speed networking is where small groups of students have 5 minutes to ask questions and learn about your industry, job, and career path, before they rotate to meet a different employer. We recommend preparing a 1-minute elevator pitch about your job, but no other preparation is needed. Guess my job is a twist on speed networking to engage Y7s and Y8s - small groups of students have 5 minutes to ask questions and try to guess your job, before they rotate to meet a different employer. We ask you to bring a prop that could give a clue to what you do!
How to sign up

Select the number of volunteers you would like to bring to each of the events below. For these events to work, we need a variety of roles and organisations represented so please bear this in mind when signing up with colleagues. A maximum of two people per organisation is sufficient, and they must have different roles.
Tuesday 15th September - 9.30am - 3pm - Bristol Brunel Academy. Year 8 (age 12 - 13) - guess my job
Wednesday 23rd September – 8.15am – 3.10pm – Bridge Learning Campus. Year 9 (age 13-14) – speed networking
Wednesday 7th October – 9.30am – 3.15pm – Ashton Park. Year 10 (age 14-15) – speed networking
Wednesday 21st October – 8.15am – 3.10pm – Bridge Learning Campus. Year 8 (age 12 - 13) – guess my job
Thursday 5th November – 9.25am – 3.25pm – Oasis Brislington. Year 9 (age 13 – 14) – speed networking with a specific theme around selecting GCSE subjects
Tuesday 10th November – 9.30am – 3.15pm – Ashton Park. Year 9 (age 13 – 14) – speed networking
