International Student Application

Innotech College is a Designated Learning Institution and can issue a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) to accepted students. A PAL is required for most new study permit applications. We request it on your behalf after you accept your offer. Do not submit your study permit application before you receive your PAL.

IMPORTANT: Post-Graduation Work Permit Innotech College is a private career college. Our programs are NOT eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Completing a program at Innotech College will not qualify you for a PGWP or any open work permit after you graduate. If your main goal is to obtain a work permit or permanent residence in Canada after graduation, this program is not the right choice for you. Do not rely on any statement by an agent, recruiter, consultant or any other third party that suggests otherwise. Canadian immigration requires proof that you can pay tuition and living costs. This information helps us assess your application. Do not send money with this form.

Fees and Refund Policy for International Applicants Read this before you sign. Innotech College is a licensed private career college in Alberta and a Designated Learning Institution. Our fees and refunds are governed by the Alberta Private Vocational Training Act and Regulation. WHAT YOU PAY, AND WHEN 1. Application and assessment fee: $100 CAD. Charged before you sign an enrolment contract. This fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including a study permit refusal, and is not covered by the Private Vocational Training Regulation. 2. Registration fee, up to $500. Collected only after you sign your Alberta Student Enrolment Contract. If you start the program, this amount is credited toward your tuition. 3. Tuition. Alberta law does not allow us to accept tuition before your program start date. We will not ask you to pay tuition in advance, and you should not send tuition to any agent or third party on our behalf. If you need proof of your fee obligation for your study permit application, ask us for a fee confirmation letter. COOLING OFF PERIOD If you cancel your enrolment contract on or before the 4th business day after signing it, all tuition fees you have paid are refunded. IF YOUR STUDY PERMIT IS REFUSED BEFORE YOUR PROGRAM STARTS We refund your registration fee in full, with no deduction. You must send us a copy of your IRCC refusal letter within 30 days of the decision. Before you request a refund we will offer you a free deferral to a later intake, which you are free to decline. The $100 application and assessment fee is not refunded. IF YOU WITHDRAW BEFORE THE PROGRAM STARTS FOR ANY OTHER REASON We retain the registration fee. A change of mind is not a visa refusal. IF WE CANCEL, OR THE PROGRAM DOES NOT START ON THE DATE IN YOUR CONTRACT Your registration fee is refunded in full. IF YOU LOSE YOUR STATUS OR WITHDRAW AFTER THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED Section 17 of the Private Vocational Training Regulation applies. When 10% or less of the program has been delivered, the college retains 25% of tuition. When more than 10% and up to 50% has been delivered, the college retains 60%. When more than 50% has been delivered, the college retains 100%. HOW REFUNDS ARE PAID Refunds are issued within 30 days of the date your contract is terminated, and are paid back to whoever originally made the payment.
