The David Augusta Unit Scholarship provides one $500 scholarship to a member from each of the three voting units in ECOEA. The scholarship can be used for continuing education that is not reimbursed by the member's local school district. The scholarship can be used for tuition, conference registration, or workshop fee by any ECOEA member (both classified and certified). It may not be used to cover license fees, travel expenses, parking. and other fees extraneous to the continuing education. Winning members are ineligible to win in the year following their scholarship award.

ECOEA recognizes the work of David Augusta, long-time ECOEA member, Executive Director, activist, local president (Louisville EA) and teacher, by naming the Unit Scholarship in his honor. David was instrumental in the creation of the Unit Scholarship.

I certify that my scholarship will be used for continuing education in my field of employment and that I am not reimbursed for said costs through my local Board of Education or other source. The scholarship documentation must be submitted for reimbursement to ECOEA by August 31, 2027.
