  • Generative AI Policy Overview

    • R&R does not accept applicants whose current professional creative work or public-facing professional content contains prohibited generative-AI-created material.
    • This includes their works/products, covers/artwork, merchandise, branding, promotional materials, websites/storefronts, and professional social media.
    • Applicants should review older publicly accessible professional content before applying.
    • Past use does not necessarily create permanent ineligibility, but prohibited material must no longer be part of their current professional presence/practice.
    • Commissioned/purchased/licensed AI content is still prohibited.
    • Ordinary editing, automation, accessibility, and assistive tools aren't automatically prohibited just because AI/ML technology is involved.

  • Rebels & Realms is an 18+ book convention centered on fantasy, romance, and their subgenres. Attending authors and their books span a wide range of themes and mature content (aka spice levels), and the convention is designed to celebrate that variety within an adult-focused environment.

    Authors across these genres are welcome to apply, including those who write for multiple audiences. The questions below simply help us understand your work and how it fits within the overall R&R experience.

  • Narrator Application

  • Narrators are an integral part of the Rebels & Realms experience, and participation looks a little different here than it does at a traditional signing event. Rather than individual exhibitor booths, our narrator experience is designed around shared spaces and programming that create opportunities for genuine connection between narrators, authors, and readers.

    Depending on the final 2027 programming, participation may include meet-and-greets and signing, panels, interviews and conversations, live readings, interactive activities, audiobook-focused programming, and other collaborative experiences developed with our attending narrators.

    Narrators do not pay a participation or exhibitor fee to attend Rebels & Realms. Selected narrators are responsible for their own travel and accommodations and are required to stay at the designated host hotel unless otherwise agreed in advance. The contracted 2027 hotel rate is $169 per night, plus applicable taxes and fees.

    We’re looking for narrators who are excited to be part of the experience, not simply occupy a booth, and the questions below are designed to help us learn how you might enjoy participating.
