2027 Winter Program (WP)
Each year, the Service Board brings together a group of high school students and adult mentors from a diverse range of academic, racial, cultural and economic backgrounds to engage in our Winter Program. Program participants meet twice weekly from beginning of winter through spring. Weekday workshops focus on engaging discussions encompassing a broad range of social justice topics. Weekend activities during Winter Program rotate between intensive service learning projects and snowboarding, hence our name: the Service Board. This year's Winter Program will be broken down into 2 spearate sessions at 5 weeks each.
Winter Program Basics: January - Mid February
- This program is dedicated to the foundational movements of snowboarding. You're best suited for this program if you've never snowboarded before, OR have little experience and in need of a refresher.
Winter Program Intermediate: March - Mid April
- This program is dedicated to those ready to explore new styles of snowboarding because they've already mastered the basics.
Both programs include weekly, Wednesday social justice workshops and mentorship with adults from your community.
