    ROLE DESCRIPTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Good & Well is seeking a values-aligned, proactive and highly organized person to join our lean, driven and dynamic team as Community Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover for a parental leave. The Community Coordinator supports the Student Engagement Manager to execute Good & Well’s student programming, and plays a key role in building community amongst the Good & Well portfolio.

    The Community Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

    • Support the design of, and provide logistical support for, the planning and execution of Student Engagement projects led by the Student Engagement Manager, notably the Impact Challenge and the Internship Program (includes but not limited to posting job openings on online career portals, supporting application review, drafting funding applications, contracting vendors, coordinating sponsors, purchasing equipment, setting-up space and equipment, etc.);
    • Supported by the Student Engagement Manager, ideate, design and implement community-building initiatives within the Good & Well team and across Good & Well’s portfolio companies (e.g., office team-building activities, events to bring the portfolio together);
      • Contribute to the design of, and support logistics for, gatherings of founders;
      • Support the onboarding of new portfolio companies;
    • Provide some executive assistance to Good & Well’s President (e.g., book meetings, review documents, execute some research);
    • Expand and update community databases (e.g., alum contact information);
    • Other tasks as required.

     

    The Community Coordinator will report to the Student Engagement Manager.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

    • Experience with event planning and execution – particularly on the logistical front;
    • Interest in both creative & strategic thinking and hands-on, logistical implementation;
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
    • Strong project management, organization and prioritization skills;
    • Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to quickly adapt to changing needs;
    • Great attention to detail;
    • High level of integrity and high degree of professionalism;
    • Passion for social impact and/or sustainability, as well as community engagement;
    • Curiosity to learn about and contribute to all aspects of Good & Well;
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
       

    GOOD-TO-HAVE:

    • Experience hosting and moderating large online events through platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc.;
    • Experience with stakeholder management;
    • Intermediate proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets. 

     

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS

    • Compensation: $55k-70k with bonus
    • Location: This position is currently mainly in person (with some work-from-home days) at our office in Downtown Toronto. We will soon be moving at 110 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, M5V 2K4.
