Thank you in your interest in becoming an Associate Board of Ambassador supporting the American Cancer Society.

Application Period: September 1, 2026 - December 1, 2026

Before You Begin
Before proceeding with the Ambassador Membership Application, please review the following requirements and expectations for being considered as an Ambassador. Ambassadors serve as representatives of the ABOA and play an important role in advancing the American Cancer Society's mission through fundraising, engagement, and active participation. To ensure a meaningful and successful Ambassador experience, all applicants must be prepared to fulfill the following commitments:

1. Fundraising Commitment

ABOA members are expected to achieve a minimum fundraising commitment of $2,500 annually.This commitment includes:

A minimum of $2,000 must be raised through ABOA Core Initiatives, including ABOA-led events, sponsorships, and individual fundraising pages.
A $150 annual donation upon acceptance of membership
Up to $500 in Fair Market Value (FMV) through donated goods or services supporting ABOA events, including auction and raffle items

Please Note: Participation in American Cancer Society endurance events (such as walks, runs, climbs, and similar activities) outside of ABOA-sponsored initiatives is encouraged but will not count toward the minimum fundraising requirement.

2. Board Meeting Participation

Members are expected to attend a minimum of three (3) ABOA Board Meetings annually. Active participation and engagement are essential to supporting the organization's initiatives and mission.

3. Membership Engagement

ABOA members are expected to be active and engaged participants throughout their membership term. This includes serving as ambassadors for the American Cancer Society, participating in an ABOA Class and committee, supporting fundraising and sponsorship efforts, engaging in mission-focused volunteer opportunities, and helping advance awareness of the ACS mission within the community. Active participation is essential to strengthening the ABOA's impact and member experience.
