    Open Girls Doubles 5.30pm
    Open Boys Doubles 6.00pm

    Scheduling Saturday 5th September 2026
    Under 15 years Girls Doubles 1.00pm
    Under 15 years Boys Doubles 1.30pm
    Under 19 years Boys Doubles 3.45pm
    Under 19 Girls Doubles 4.15pm

    Each event is expected to take between 2.5 – 3 hours to complete.

  • ENTRY DETAILS

    Schools can enter up to 5 doubles pairs in each doubles event (eg 5 x under 15 Girls Doubles, 5 x Under 19 Girls Doubles etc)

    Both players must be from the same school

    Players are only permitted to play in one age group (ie their age group)

    OPEN DIVISION

    Those players that play C Grade or D Grade in Qld Sanctioned tournaments and  have won or been runner up in D Grade events in 2024, 2025 or 2026 can only participate in the Open Division.

    Players that have represented Qld or their former state (in Australia or another country) and graded C or D Grade in the last three years are able to play in open division only.

    Players Graded B Grade or higher are not able to participate.

    AGE

    Ages will be as at the 31/12/2026. For example if you
    turn 14 in 2026 you can play Under 15. If you turn 15 in 2026 you will need to
    play in the Under 19.

    ENTRY FEES

    $12 each to participate (Payment will be collected by Square in the venue).

    An email will be sent to the nominated contact just confirming that the event will be proceeding as per the proposed schedule.

    Students can also confirm the scheduling information by visiting the Brisbane
    Badminton Association website on Thursday 4th September ie
    www.brisbanebadminton.org (it will not show who you are playing just the
    confirmed start times).

  • CONDITIONS OF PLAY

    1. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to amend or add to these conditions
    as may be necessary and to cancel any event for which there are insufficient entries.
    2. All matches will be played using the round robin format i.e 1 game to 21 points
    without setting using the rally point scoring system. Finals will be held where there
    are more than two pools and will also be 1 game to 21 points using the rally point
    scoring system without setting.
    3. Feather shuttles will be used exclusively throughout the Tournament.
    4. Any player participating in the tournament must, when called upon, act as a court official as required.
    5. Both players in a pair must be from the same school.
    6. All players can only play in one division.
    7. If the Tournament is interrupted for any reason (power failure etc.) the Tournament Committee reserves the right to postpone any, or all events until such time or date they consider suitable, or to abandon matches or events.
    8. ALL decisions of the Referee (or the responsible official for the time being) are
    FINAL.
    9. Local conditions: It will be a fault if, in play, the shuttle hits the roof or other part of the hall structure.
    10. Students that are graded B Grade or above are not permitted to play.
    11. Those players that play C Grade in Qld Sanctioned tournaments or have won
    or been runner up in D Grade events in 2024 to 2026 can only participate in the

    12. Players Graded B Grade or higher are not able to participate.
    13.By entering this event, the player hereby agrees and acknowledges that the
    ORGANISERS OF THE EVENT and SCHOOL OFFICIALS shall have the right to
    photograph players from the school (as a group photograph for the school) or prize presentations. Brisbane Badminton Association shall also take such photographs for these purposes (winners photographs may be displayed on social media). NO VIDEO FOOTAGE AT ALL WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE TAKEN DURING THIS EVENT
