Mae Langan Scholarship Application
Mae Langan believed deeply in the value of education, hard work, and perseverance. After leaving school to work in a knitting mill and help support her family, she was inspired to become a nurse and worked while attending night classes to earn the credits needed for nursing school. She graduated in 1934 and went on to serve as a nurse for nearly 50 years while raising a family and meeting life’s many challenges with remarkable determination. The Mae Langan Scholarship honors her enduring spirit by supporting community college students who demonstrate the same grit and commitment in pursuing their educational goals.
Eligibility Criteria
The Mae Langan Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in an academic program at Camden County College who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and are in financial need. Applicants should demonstrate grit and determination in pursuing their community college degree, including a commitment to overcoming challenges and taking meaningful steps toward achieving their educational goals.
