Trekking & Fitness

This section is particularly important for Switzerland. This is an active trekking and adventure tour, rather than a standard sightseeing holiday. The programme includes approximately 4–5 hour mountain treks, uneven and rocky terrain, ascents and descents and trekking graded from moderate through to challenging. Participants should have an appropriate level of fitness, mobility and confidence walking in mountainous terrain.

Fitness Declaration

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in an active trekking holiday which may involve approximately 4–5 hours of walking on mountainous, uneven and potentially challenging terrain. I also understand that some trekking days may be graded Moderate to Challenging and that weather, terrain, altitude, trail conditions and other circumstances may increase the difficulty of an activity.
MANDATORY TRAVEL INSURANCE All participants are required to obtain adequate travel insurance appropriate for this particular trip. The policy should be purchased at the time of booking and must cover the full travel period, the destinations visited and the activities that the participant intends to undertake, including trekking/adventure activities where applicable.
