The Johnston County Small Business Growth & Entrepreneurship Grant, funded by Duke Energy Foundation's Powering Local Economies Program, will provide competitive microgrants to entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking to grow and strengthen their operations during today's challenging economy. Administered by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the county-wide grant's purpose is to advance local economies by helping small businesses start, grow, and sustain operations.
•Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000.
•Payroll, rent and utilities are excluded.
Businesses applying for a grant must meet all the following criteria:
•Must have less than 100 employees.
•Must have a physical location within Johnston County, North Carolina.
•Must be a North Carolina business registered in North Carolina in some capacity (Secretary of State/Register of Deeds) and in good standing with all applicable Federal, State, and local governmental requirements.
