• Balloon Glow Bash w/ BWorks | 6 p.m. Friday September 18

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for a *one-way* group ride to the hot-air balloon festivities in Forest Park. We'll meet at 5:45 p.m. with our bikes, helmets and charged-up front and back lights (required!) at Turtle Playground (6128 Tamm Avenue) for a prompt departure at 6 p.m. Friday, September 18. The group ride, led by BWorks team members, will wind through Forest Park to the Central Fields Pavilion bathrooms on the southeastern edge of the balloon glow event grounds, where kids and caregivers will be free to explore the balloon glow at their leisure from there and depart as individual family groups from there. Our goal is to arrive outside the Central Fields Pavilion bathrooms by about 7:15 p.m. Caregivers whose youth ride solo with the BWorks team to the event will need to be at this meeting point by 7:15 p.m., as this is a one-way group ride.

Also, keep in mind that cell service at and around the balloon glow is extremely spotty due to the huge crowd. Whether or not you are riding with your child(ren) and the BWorks team to the Central Fields Pavilion meeting point, it’s super important to look carefully at the map of the park and that specific area in advance so that we all know exactly where to find the BWorks group and where to be at the 7:15 p.m. estimated time of arrival at the crowded event.P.S. Does your child's bicycle need some TLC leading up to the alumni ride? Stop by BWorks (2414 Menard Street in Soulard) in the days leading up to the ride (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday). If you stop by at least a week prior to the alumni ride with the bike, our staff and volunteers will be happy to take a look at the bike and help ensure it's trail ready!Questions about the event?
