  • Welcome to the Ivins City "It's a Wrap Program". We appreciate your interest in adding public art in Ivins City by sponsoring utility box art. Please complete the entire application and if you have selected art, be sure to include your art with the application. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

  • "It's a Wrap" Terms and Conditions

    The Artist, as identified above, agrees:

    • to allow image of original painting or drawing to be displayed in a permanent manner on select utility boxes in the City of Ivins for an indefinite period of time  
    • to explicitly give permission for Ivins City and its Arts Commission to use Artist’s name, artwork image, Artist image and biography and to photograph Artist and/or the displayed artwork, and publish them on the City’s and/or the Arts Commission’s websites, in community informational materials or other media to promote Living Artfully in Ivins and promote the Ivins City It's a Wrap program

    The Sponsor and Artist certify that the artwork submitted for the "It's a Wrap" program:

    • is an original creation by the Artist and was not created using any AI software
    • is visually engaging and appropriate to the Ivins City environment and diverse culture
    • represents elements of Ivins City public art theme, "Out of the Desert" or approved variance of theme
    • exemplifies strong originality in design and content
    • possesses relevance and connection with Ivins City's diverse area and community
    • does not require the use of electricity, audio/visual technology, water or other resources
    • is a high quality image of an original two dimensional painting or drawing, with consideration given for the shape and size of the utility box.

    The Sponsor is responsible for:

    • paying the cost for the design and printing of the digital image provided by Artist
    • paying the cost for the wrapping installation of the digital image on the utility box
    • paying the cost for the Artist stipend as per current approved ICAC amount on completion of the project

    Ivins City is responsible for:

    • approving artwork for the selected site via recommendation by the Arts Commission and approval by the Ivins City Council
    • reimbursing the sponsor for any City cost share that has been approved
    • maintaining property insurance for the actual replacement value on the artwork in the event of vandalism, theft or other accidental damage. Such insurance shall be the sole remedy for such damages, Artist will not be entitled to any other compensation/remedy, and Ivins shall not be liable for monetary or other damages

    Ivins City reserves the right to:

    • make all installment/placement decisions;
    • oversee all activities regarding the art installation

  • Sponsors and Artists must accept the terms, as set forth below, of this "It's A Wrap" Project Agreement in order to be eligible for consideration for their project. Your acceptance of the terms is effective by entering your signature and date in the spaces provided.  

  • Sponsor and Artist acknowledges that if selected, the art installation will constitute public art promoted by Ivins City as government speech. Ivins City shall be deemed the owner of the art installation and, at its sole discretion, may remove it or paintover it at any time.

    Sponsor and Artist understand that Ivins City and its Arts Commission will take reasonable care to protect the artwork while in its custody, but Artist submits it at his/her/their own risk.
