GPD ATV Safety Classes

The Greensboro Police Department is offering free ATV safety classes to community members to learn essential safety skills, operate responsibly, and gain confidence while staying safe on local trails. Training is led by experienced GPD ATV operators with real-world expertise in search and rescue, rail corridor safety, emergency response, and community outreach. Safety training is open to anyone 8 years and older. If interested, please read participant responsibilities below and complete interest form and we will follow up with more information.
Participants are responsible for the following:
- Completing a 1.5 hour online course prior to in-person Safety Training (GPD will send course information before scheduled training)
- Bringing their own ATV to training location at Barber Park (1500 Barber Park Dr. Greensboro NC 27401)
- Ensuring ATV is age appropriate
  - Ages 8-11 may operate ATVs up to 70cc ONLY
  - Ages 12-15 may operate ATVs up to 90cc
  - Ages 16+ may operate any engine size
- Bringing their own safety equipment (helmet, eye protection, protective gear)
