• September Pottery Class

    Registration Page
  • OVERVIEW:

Join us for a hands-on pottery class where participants can create a custom teabowl, mug, or vase from start to finish. This class is designed for participants who want to explore hand-building pottery while creating a piece that reflects their own style and creativity.

Participants are expected to do some prior research on how to create their chosen project before the class. Links and resources will be provided below to help you prepare. During the class, the instructor will be available to demonstrate techniques, answer questions, and guide you through the process as you create your piece.

This is a family-friendly class open to both adults and children. An adult must accompany participants under 18.

All skill levels are welcome. Come prepared to learn, experiment, and create a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece.

    TIMELINE:

This class includes two sessions. During the first session on September 3, participants will create their pottery pieces. The pottery will then dry for several days before undergoing its first kiln firing, followed by a cooling period.

Participants will return for the second session on September 10 to glaze their work. After glazing, the pieces will be fired a second time and cooled over several days to complete the process. Attendance at the glazing session is optional; if a participant is unable to return, their pottery will automatically receive a clear glaze before the final firing.

Once the final firing and cooling are complete, participants will receive an email notification when their finished pottery is ready for pickup. Completed pieces can be collected from the TCA Office at 220 2nd St E.
