Groups meet weekly (3-4 times per month) on Zoom, and are intended as interactive discussion. All study groups meet for one hour per week. 

The 2026-27 cycle of study groups begins the first week of October 2026.

Talmud Study: Berachot
Mondays at 1pm Eastern, with Rabbi Micah Streiffer
Exploring the Talmud's debates and stories about prayer. (Note: this is an ongoing study group working through a tractate. You can join at any time.)

Parsha Thru Midrash
Tuesdays at 9am Eastern, with Rabbi Micah Streiffer
Studying the rabbinic stories about the stories in the Torah - both classical rabbinic midrash as well as modern midrash.

Leviticus Deep Dive
Tuesdays at 1:15pm Eastern, with Rabbi Micah Streiffer
A chapter-by-chapter exploration of the Torah's most misunderstood book, and its wealth of teachings about prayer, atonement, ritual, ethics, and sacred living.

Torah From the Beginning
Tuesdays at 3pm Eastern, with Rabbi Micah Streiffer
Weekly study of the Torah portion for learners starting a journey of Jewish learning. 

You Shall Be Holy
Wednesdays at Noon Eastern, with Rabbi Rachael Bregman
Explores timeless Jewish wisdom for living a life of compassion and purpose.

Haftarah: Judaism's Other Sacred Voice
Wednesdays at 3pm Eastern, with Rabbi Rachael Bregman
Explores the prophetic voices of our tradition, as well as modern voices that compel us to act.

Queering the Weekly Parsha
Thursdays at 1:15pm Eastern, with Rabbi Nikki DeBlossi, Ph.D. 
Offers learners of all levels and identities the opportunity to look at the weekly Torah portion through a queer lens. 

Digging Deeper into Torah
Fridays at Noon Eastern, with Rabbi Micah Streiffer
Interactive discussion of the week's Torah portion, for those who have been through the Torah before and want to explore context, history, and commentary.

Registration Details and Costs

Each study group is structured as a monthly subscription with a cost of $45 per month. You can withdraw at any time by emaling info@laasok.org.

Costs go down if you register for more than one group, as follows:

1 study group: $45 per month
2 study groups: $81 per month
3 study groups: $114 per month
4 study groups: $145 per month
5 study groups: $175 per month
6 study groups: $205 per month
7 or 8 study groups: $230 per month
