Art Adventure Grant

Application Deadline: October 25th 2026

Newburyport Art, in collaboration with The Hemphill Family Foundation, supports a $4,000 grant program for NAA adult artists (ages 25+) in support of their artistic practice and professional development. Examples of fund use include but are not limited to travel, educational classes & learning opportunities, and beyond! Make it an adventure!

The recipient of the travel grant will return to the NAA at a future date within one calendar year of their travel opportunity to present a artist talk on their experience. This talk will be announced through are newsletter and will be free to all NAA members.

Important Dates
- Application closes: October 25th (by 11:59pm)
- Outcome Notifications: November 15th (by 11:59pm)
- In-person public announcment of winner: at opening recepion for Familiars on December 4th (6pm-8pm)
Eligibility
- Applicants for the Art Adventure Grant must be 25 years of age or older.
- Applicants must be current with their NAA membership through the end date December 2026.
- Previous Art Adventure Grant award recipients are not eligible to apply. (If you were not selected from previous years, you may reapply!)

All applications are made online only through this submission form, providing:
- name and contact information
- confirmation of NAA membership
- three uploaded images (25MB max per image) that represent your strongest artwork, accompanied by the title, media/medium, and description of each work
- a statement of no more than 300 words on how the funds will be utilized
- and, optionally, a resume/cv
