• Wandering Women International – March 2027 Kenya Trip Application

    Apply to join our volunteer trip to Kenya in March 2027 for International Women's Month. Please complete all sections with accurate information; falsifying information can disqualify you from joining the team.

  • Trip Cost & Payment Timeline. The cost of this trip is $3,500/participant and does not include airfare. This covers everything you will need while traveling with us: food, clean bottled water, Lodging, Transportation, Visas, safari and activity fees. We have outlined the following payment schedule to make it easier for our guests to travel:

    • Payment 1 - $500 = Trip Deposit - Due upon application approval.
    • Payment 2 - $750 = Due November 15, 2026
    • Payment 3 - $750 = Due December 15, 2026
    • Payment 4 - $750 = Due January 31, 2027
    • Payment 5 - $750 = FINAL PAYMENT Due February 5, 2026
    • TOTAL DUE - $3,500

    If you cannot meet this payment schedule, please reach out to Sam to discuss different payment options. You can pay online or by check. 

    You may pay in full at any time. These funds will cover all your in-country expenses, including food, bottled water, lodging, security, communications, activities/tours, and transportation. You will only need additional funds for souvenirs, appreciations/special gifts, and any additional drinks/snacks. 
    This price DOES NOT include airfare.

    Trip participants are expected to help with fundraising for the humanitarian projects we will work on during the trip and will be shown how to use the organization's fundraising tools.

    Our TRIP DATES will tentatively be March 4-20, 2027. Our trips are typically 14-16 days. You can adjust your arrival or return by a couple of days if the final trip dates do not work with your schedule. Please contact Sam ASAP to discuss alternate dates BEFORE purchasing tickets.

    POLICY OVERVIEW:
    NOTE: A FULL POLICY FORM WILL BE SENT UPON ACCEPTANCE.

    Trip costs are based on current prices and exchange rates, which are subject to change. Dates, travel arrangements, and schedules are subject to change; if any changes occur, trip participants will be notified as needed.

    In the event of political unrest or natural disaster, Team Leaders may decide to cancel or postpone the trip. Application fees and contributions to the team’s fundraising on the traveler’s behalf are non-refundable. These funds will be used to purchase aid supplies in Kenya. Any funds paid for the traveler's trip ($3,500 or a portion thereof) will be held for up to 12 months and can be used as a future travel credit by the participant. A full accounting of funds paid in will be provided at the time of postponement.

    In the event a participant must cancel their trip, a refund will be issued as follows, LESS any non-refundable travel expenses:

    More than 90 days prior to travel – Up to 75%
    Between 89-60 days prior to travel - Up to 40% 
    Less than 59 days prior to travel – Non-Refundable

    All travelers are covered under a group travel insurance policy included in the trip costs. Participants and Team Leaders understand and acknowledge that they are traveling at their own risk. Team Leaders are not liable for illness, injury, death, terrorist acts, or any other unforeseen events, nor for transportation or other expenses beyond the scope of normal program involvement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    Participants must be in good physical condition and may be required to provide a physical exam or physician reference if there are concerns regarding their ability to participate in activities in Kenya. Participants agree to follow all Team Leader instructions at all times and understand that failure to do so, or behavior that places the group, local communities, or any individual at risk, may result in removal from the trip at the participant’s expense. We take group safety seriously and will not tolerate behavior that endangers the group, the people we serve, or any individual participant.
