  • THE DISCIPLES — “THIS IS A HARD SAYING”

    John 6:60-66

  • Jesus who never you cannot you.

  • If Jesus only ever agrees with me, then I am not really following Jesus. I am following a version of myself with a Bible verse attached.

    And at some point every disciple has to decide: What do I do when the words of Jesus become hard?

    Sometimes grace sounds like: “Stop.”

  • When freedom gets , slavery can start looking .

  • That is why the wilderness is dangerous. Because the wilderness asks: Do you trust God enough to keep walking when going back feels easier?

  • Do not confuse a hard road with a Savior.

  • PETER — “TO WHOM SHALL WE GO?”

    John 6:67-69

  • Moses led Israel toward the land. Jesus leads us to the Father. Moses spoke the words God gave him. Jesus says His words are spirit and life.

    The whole wilderness story is moving toward Jesus. Jesus has not simply come to repeat the Exodus. He has come to fulfil it. He is the One who brings people out of slavery to sin and into life with God.

  • Choosing life means choosing Jesus even when you do not have all the .

  • But there are seasons where the has to carry you when you do not have the .

  • JUDAS — HE STAYED

    John 6:70-71

  • Staying in the room is not the same thing as with Jesus

  • There is more than one way to walk away from Jesus. Some people leave with their feet. Others leave in their hearts while their feet remain in the room.

    Judas proves that physical proximity is not the same as spiritual surrender.

    Judas teaches us that religious activity can sometimes hide spiritual distance.

  • What we refuse to surrender eventually what we become.
