CRITERIA: Please read and acknowledge below. The 2027 Bear Paw Theme: One Alaska, One Flag, One Bear Paw 1. The design must be original, not copied from any other source or currently in use with any other commercial endeavors. 2. The design must be such that when greatly reduced for a variety of memorabilia items, it is still legible. 3. The design must be appropriate for the Bear Paw festival. 4. Focus on designing the theme. 5. The design must be submitted in complete art form and in full color (no more than 5 colors). Digitally created entries should include only a color print of the artwork, not electronic copies. 6. The design must be original and will be disqualified if found by AI / Google Search to be similar in likeness of art, trademark or business logos and will jeopardize future participation in Bear Paw art contests. 7. The artist submitting the design must agree that, if their design is selected, it becomes the sole and exclusive property of Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce & The Bear Paw Festival and must sign an artist release form before the drawing can be accepted for consideration. 8. The final design selection will be made by the Merchandise Committee. 9. Contest is open to artists of all ages and experience. Artist under 18 need guardian signature to submit. 10. There is no limit to the number of designs any one person may submit. The selection of the design is not tied to the selection of the manufacturer. 11. It must also be understood that Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce & The Bear Paw Festival offers no monetary remuneration to the artist for submitting the design. Selected design will receive a $200 cash award. In addition, the artist will receive a place in Alaska history, be featured in the Official Guide, a ride in the Bear Paw Grand Parade, plus the artist will receive selected merchandise items featuring the design. 12.
