By submitting this membership application, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Membership Eligibility Membership is open to individuals who support the mission and objectives of the Bangladesh Film Society of North America (BAFSNA), subject to the eligibility requirements of the selected membership category. 2. Accurate Information I confirm that the information provided in my membership application is true, accurate and complete. I agree to update BAFSNA if my relevant membership information changes. 3. Membership Approval Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee membership. BAFSNA reserves the right to review and approve applications in accordance with its Constitution, Bylaws, policies and applicable law. 4. Membership Benefits Membership provides access to benefits, programs, events and opportunities associated with the selected membership category. Benefits may change based on organizational policies, availability and program requirements. Membership does not automatically provide employment, professional representation, film financing, distribution, festival selection, investment opportunities, Board membership or any ownership interest in BAFSNA. 5. Code of Conduct Members are expected to maintain respectful, professional and inclusive conduct toward filmmakers, artists, volunteers, staff, partners, guests and other members. Harassment, discrimination, threats, bullying, violence, fraud, unauthorized representation of BAFSNA or other serious misconduct may result in suspension or termination of membership. 6. BAFSNA Representation Membership does not authorize an individual to speak, negotiate, sign agreements or otherwise represent BAFSNA unless formally authorized by the organization. Members may identify themselves as BAFSNA members but may not represent themselves as an officer, director, employee, spokesperson or authorized representative unless officially appointed. 7. Membership Fees & Renewal Where applicable, membership fees must be paid according to the membership category selected. Membership terms, renewal periods, fees and benefits may be established or amended by BAFSNA. Unless otherwise stated, membership fees are non-refundable after membership activation, subject to applicable law and BAFSNA's refund policy. 8. Privacy & Communications By applying for membership, I authorize BAFSNA to collect and use the information necessary to administer my membership, communicate with me regarding BAFSNA programs and provide applicable membership services. BAFSNA may contact members regarding events, screenings, festivals, educational programs, organizational announcements and other relevant activities. Personal information will be handled in accordance with BAFSNA's Privacy Policy. 9. Photography & Media BAFSNA events may be photographed, filmed or recorded for organizational documentation, archival, educational, promotional, website and social-media purposes. Where required, BAFSNA will provide appropriate notice or obtain appropriate consent in accordance with applicable law and organizational policy. 10. Intellectual Property Membership does not transfer ownership of a member's films, photographs, scripts, artwork, music or other intellectual property to BAFSNA. Any use of a member's creative work beyond ordinary event documentation or promotion will be subject to the applicable permission, submission agreement or separate written authorization. 11. Bangladesh Film Club Registration BAFSNA intends to establish a formal Bangladesh-side cultural connection and will pursue registration as a film club under the applicable Government of Bangladesh framework. Until such registration is officially completed, no applicant or member should represent that BAFSNA's Bangladesh film-club registration has already been granted. 12. Membership Suspension or Termination BAFSNA may suspend or terminate membership for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, the BAFSNA Constitution/Bylaws, Code of Conduct, organizational policies or applicable law, subject to applicable procedures and legal requirements. 13. Organizational Changes BAFSNA may modify its membership categories, benefits, programs, events, fees, policies and organizational structure when reasonably necessary. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels. 14. Acceptance of Terms By checking the agreement box and submitting this application, I confirm that: I have read and understood these Membership Terms & Conditions; I agree to comply with BAFSNA's Constitution/Bylaws and applicable policies; I agree to follow the BAFSNA Code of Conduct; I understand that membership does not guarantee employment, financing, distribution or other professional opportunities; and I agree to provide accurate information and conduct myself respectfully as a member of the BAFSNA community.
