The Tupelo Chili Festival is an annual tradition and fundraiser for DTMSA. All proceeds help us sustain and enhance the Downtown experience. No Alcoholic drinks are allowed to be brought in. Please purchase all beer from the on site Beer Tent. We can arrange for beer purchase in advance for team members only.

TASTING AWARDS
1st Place – Best Chili
Awarded to the team whose chili receives the highest overall score from our three official Chili Festival judges. Judges taste unmarked samples submitted by each participating team, ensuring the competition is based solely on the chili itself.

2nd Place – Best Chili
Awarded to the team whose chili receives the second-highest overall score from our three official Chili Festival judges. Judging is based on unmarked samples submitted by each team.

3rd Place – Best Chili
Awarded to the team whose chili receives the third-highest overall score from our three official Chili Festival judges. All entries are judged from unmarked samples to ensure a fair and impartial tasting.

Specialty Tasting Awards
Spiciest Chili
Awarded to the team that brings the chili with the most impressive heat! Our Chili Festival judges will evaluate the heat level of each chili entry to determine which one earns the title of Spiciest Chili.

Most Original Recipe
Awarded to the team whose chili stands out for its creativity, originality, unique ingredients, or distinctive flavor combination. Our Chili Festival judges will select the recipe that truly brings something different to the competition.

PRESENTATION AWARD
Best Presentation
Awarded to the team that creates the most memorable overall presentation at Fairpark. Our presentation judges will consider the team's tent décor, costumes, theme, creativity, and overall visual appearance when selecting the winner.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
Crowd Favorite
The award chosen by the people! Festival attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chili team. The team receiving the most attendee votes will be crowned the Tupelo Chili Festival Crowd Favorite.
